Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhou Jiangang was in peril due to torture at the Qinduankou Prison. At 3:00 p.m. on April 25, 2006, he was sent to Wuhan City's Emergency Room for medical treatment. His present situation is unknown.

According to reliable sources, a practitioner held at the No.4 Division of the Qinduankou Prison in Hubei Province was tortured to death on April 25, 2006.

On April 25, 2006, policeman Guan Qingyou, the Wangqing County National Security Division chief, and 20 more officers from the Wangqing Town Police Department broke into practitioner Ms. Wu Yingzi's home and arrested six practitioners. They also ransacked her home. She and practitioner Ms. Xu Jinshu are presently being held at the county's Zhong'an Detention Center.

Wardens of the No.8 Brigade in the Dalian City Forced Labor Camp tortured "unlawfully detained" practitioners in a small compartment. When their supervisors come to inspect the prison they close the small compartment but reopen it afterwards.

In early September 2005, practitioner Mr. Gu Shuchun was tortured in the small compartment. During the daytime, wardens handcuffed him to two separated beds, with his arms extended in opposite directions. He was forced to sit on a low stool and could not make any movement. During the night, wardens handcuffed him to the two sides of his bed so that he could not turn over. The handcuffs cut into his flesh and caused excruciating pain. He suffered various tortures until another practitioner was put into the small compartment.

In the middle of October 2005, practitioners Mr. Yang Liguo and Mr. Han Qu were put into the small compartment. They suffered from the same torture as practitioner Gu Shuchun. Additionally, they were force-fed every day. The rubber tubes used for force-feeding were always left in, and the two practitioners consequently had difficulties breathing. They are still being tortured.

Virtually every newly arrested practitioner has been tortured in the small compartment. Policeman Han Wei is the person chiefly responsible for this torture.

In February 2005, practitioner Mr. Liu Jilian was arrested for the second time and sentenced to two years of forced labor there. His health has deteriorated because of torture. He has diseases in different organs. He had a stroke, urinates frequently and has difficulty walking from severely swollen feet. Even though he is struggling to live, he is still being unlawfully held.

We have recently heard that practitioner Mr. Zhao Chenglin, who is in Wafangdian City's Prison, went on a hunger strike. Because the prison has blocked all information about practitioners, this is the only message smuggled out.

At 9:00 a.m. on April 30, 2006, practitioner Ms. Liu Hongying and her 13-year-old daughter from Xifan Village, Longrao County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, took the bus from Longrao County to Julu County. She clarified the truth to other passengers and distributed flyers on the bus, but someone reported her to the police. When the bus arrived at Julu County Station, policemen waiting there arrested them and took them to the county's police station. Ms. Liu is presently being held at Xingtai City's Brainwashing Center.

Practitioner Ms. Wu Yan was born in January 1975 in Huangchuan County, Henan Province. She started to practice Falun Gong in 1997. Ms. Wu was nabbed many times for clarifying the truth of Falun Gong. She has been illegally sentenced to one and a half years of imprisonment.

During the afternoon of November 22, 2005, police arrested her again, this time at the Renmin University of China campus. They put her into the Haidian District's Qinghe Detention Center in Beijing for three months. Because she refused to tell police her name and address, they brutally beat her. On February 23, 2006 she was transferred to the Beijing Detention Center in the Chaoyang District. In mid-May, police submitted her case to the Haidian District Prosecutor's Department for sentencing.

The cases of practitioners Mr. Lu Wenxue and Mr. Wang Hongchang held at Yuzhou City's Detention Center have been transferred to the city's Prosecutor's Department, officers of which will cite the two practitioners. The practitioners' family members have clarified the truth and requested their release many times.

On January 9, 2006, personnel from Changge City's Political Security Division arrested practitioner Mr. Zhang Qingchen. He has so far been held at the city's detention center for nearly three months.

Practitioner Mr. Duan Shengsheng was sentenced to three years and practitioner Ms. Sun Li to five and a half years of imprisonment by the Yuhua District's Court. They did not acknowledge the verdict and requested unconditional release.

Between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. on April 25, 2006, seven policemen headed by the Wenhua Road Police Station chief in the Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City, broke into and ransacked the houses of three practitioners in their 70s. The only reason was that they practice Falun Gong. Besides confiscating all Dafa books, they unreasonably fined each of them 200 yuan.

The three practitioners were Xiao, Zhang, and Sui. Xiao and Zhang lived alone. After practicing Falun Gong, they became healthy and are not a burden to their families at all.

Personnel from the Nanzhai Police Station in the Jiancaoping Police Department in Taiyuan City arrested practitioner Mr. Zhang Jinsheng, who is being detained at the Jiancaoping Police Department Detention Center.

After being arrested, practitioner Mr. Sha Jingye was sent to the Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Province Medical University because of his poor health. He is still under tight surveillance in that hospital. Some practitioners were recently arrested when they went to see him in the hospital.

Practitioner Mr. Hu Ao, 27 years old, is a post-graduate student at the No.504 Institute of Astronautics Industry Corporation. Policemen from the Xi'an City Security Bureau arrested him in April 2006 for recording and distributing the Nine Commentaries.

On May 1, 2006, two practitioners went to Dizang Temple to distribute truth-clarifying materials. Personnel of the Dizang Temple Police Station chased them in a mini-van and on motorcycles.

On January 5, 2006, personnel from the Shouguang City Police Department broke into practitioner Ms. Li Ailing's house to search. They confiscated some Dafa books and tapes.

They often go to practitioners' homes to harass them.
