(Clearwisdom.net) After serving a one-year-long illegal
detention, several practitioners in Wuwei City, Gansu Province, were
secretly sentenced to prison in March 2006. The "Sentencing
Statements" were sent to the Liangzhou District Detention Center at the end
of March 2006. All from Wuwei City: Ms. Zhang Wenjuan, 42, from Huai'an Village, Baishu
Township was sentenced to six years in prison; Ms. Tai Maehua, 38, from Wuhe Township was sentenced to four years in prison; Mr. Wang Qingde, in his 50s, from Shuangshu Township was sentenced to three
years in prison; and Mr. Zhang Yanju, 38, from Gaoba Township was sentenced to seven years in
prison. These practitioners were arrested on February 27 or 28, 2005. We heard that
they would first be held in a brainwashing center located in Lanzhou City for
three months, then sent to Jiuquan Prison, a concentration camp. Up until now, five practitioners in Wuwei City have been tortured to death in
the persecution. There are still 26 practitioners being tortured in prisons,
labor camps, and detention centers. Twelve practitioners were arrested before
the 2006 New Year in Jinsha Township or Hongxiang Town of the Langzhou District,
Wuwei City. Among these 12, three of them were sent to forced labor in Lanzhou
