(Clearwisdom.net) At the beginning of 2006, after coming into contact with Falun Dafa, I witnessed my grown daughter's miraculous recovery from a painful terminal illness.

On the 11^th day of the first lunar month in 2006, people were joyfully celebrating the Chinese New Year. Wang Ping, a villager in Dade

Village, Shuiquan Township, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province, was suffering from unbearable pain. Doctors at the Shuangcheng City Hospital and the Harbin Medical University Hospital diagnosed her condition as acute late-stage leukemia, a deadly blood cancer. The doctor said that her chance of survival was very slim. The family members also knew that none of the other leukemia patients with even lighter conditions than hers had recovered. We consulted several experienced doctors who are also our relatives; all felt hopeless.

A doctor at Harbin Medical University Number Two Hospital told us that the only option was chemotherapy and the cost of one cycle was from 20,000 to 30,000 yuan. As Wang Ping's father I knew that the chemotherapy was a waste of money, and that anyone with this type of disease will lose both money and life. But we could not refuse the treatment. We had to spend the money to buy peace of mind, and we had to show Wang Ping that we cared for her.

Wang Ping had a high fever. Her heartbeat was rapid. She was very weak. Her spirit had collapsed. She could eat only a few spoons of food each meal and drink water only through a straw. Between every sip of water she had to rest for a while. She was so exhausted that her head was in constant pain. A person without ample supply of blood is like a car without fuel; one cannot move much. Wang Ping entered the hospital on the 11^th day of the first lunar month. She never left her bed until the 27^th day.

On the fifth day after checking into the hospital, many relatives came to visit. She had a high fever and the medicine prescribed by the doctor did not reduce it. All she could do was to open her eyes to look at the visitors and move her lips a little to greet them; she could not even speak. Looking at my daughter, her husband and their teenage child, I felt an extreme pain in my heart. Everyone cried. After we left her room, the relatives discussed preparing for her funeral. Wang Ping's aunt and cousin are both Falun Gong practitioners. They went up to her bed and said, "Ping, please consider practicing Falun Gong! Give it try!"

As her father, I was facing a difficult decision. For several days, several Dafa practitioners had told me about many medical miracles having happened to Falun Gong practitioners. But I had not experienced them, so I was skeptical. Can Falun Gong really cure these serious diseases? But since my daughter's condition was so bad and she could die any moment, I felt she had no other option but to try Falun Gong. She needed a miracle.

I had no choice but to reveal the truth to Wang Ping. Then a practitioner from out of town shared her own story. She used to suffer from an incurable disease; after spending nearly 70,000 yuan on hospital bills without any results, she finally began to practice Falun Gong and eventually recovered her complete health. She told Wang Ping that since her condition was too severe to practice the exercises, she should recite, "Falun Dafa is good! Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is wonderful!"

After this conversation, Wang Ping's condition gradually improved. Everyone felt relief.

Even with this positive change, the family was still not convinced and we kept Ping in the hospital for a few more days. During her hospitalization, she went through seven days of chemotherapy. Between the 11^th day and the 27^th day of the month she received eight whole-blood transfusions and three of blood platelets. She also took other medicines and was administered all kinds of drugs daily. For most of the time she had a high fever. On the 25^th day of the month she suffered from a five-hour continuous high fever and was in a deep coma; her condition was critical.

One night Wang Ping saw a white flower wreath at the door to her room, and also saw two clawed, monkey-faced monsters, trying to grab her. She recalled the words that Falun Gong practitioners told her and said repeatedly, "Falun Dafa is good!" The monsters vanished right away.

On the 26^th day of the first lunar month I visited the hospital and asked the doctor about my daughter's condition. The doctor said the chemotherapy had ended the day before. Ping began to have a fever again; all diagnoses showed no effect. They said she needed to start over with blood transfusions and blood platelets. I thought, how could we do this over again? I decided that we should check Wang Ping out of the hospital.

On the 27^th day, Wang Ping's aunt and her sister-in-law went to the hospital to pick her up. Before they left, I told them to prepare some clothes. In case she should die on her way back they could change clothes for her. They also brought a tank of oxygen for an emergency.

Nothing negative happened on her way home. Wang Ping was in good spirits. After she got home, several Falun Gong practitioners played Teacher's lecture recordings for her. Wang Ping listened to the lectures day after day. On the third day, the blood spots on her skin disappeared. Usually, people with this disease have prolonged menstruation. But on the 6^th day Wang Ping's menstruation stopped and her fever was gone. She could sit up unassisted. A few days before she couldn't sit up, even with people holding her.

This was a clear indication that her condition was improving. Teacher was taking care of her now.

Family and relatives had all kinds of opinions to express then. Some said that if she did not take injections and medicine, what if her condition worsens? They said that this was a matter of life and death and that she couldn't afford to lose any time. The patient was still weak. Everyone raised their own opinion; the family had no idea what to do.

On the 11^th day of Lunar Month Two, the tenth day after Wang Ping returned home, she went back to Harbin Medical University Hospital Number Two to have an exam. Her temperature was 36.2 degree C; which is normal; her blood platelet count had risen to 72,000 units, a little lower than average; other tests were not ready, so she had to stay in the hospital for a couple of days. Her husband said since her blood platelet count was low, maybe she should receive a blood transfusion, which the doctor gave her, without any other drugs.

On the fifth day, at 10:30 a.m., all results came back. We saw a miracle!

The doctor called our family to the office and said, "Wang Ping's leukemia has disappeared; all indications are normal. She can check out of the hospital now."

Diagnosed with a terminal illness, my daughter Wang Ping recovered her health after practicing Falun Gong. Without Falun Gong, Wang Ping would have died. Falun Dafa has given her a second life and brought joy to her family. The whole family witnessed this bright hope that Dafa has brought.

We cannot find the right words to express our gratitude to the Teacher of Falun Dafa. We just want to say, "Thank you Teacher!"

In the past I did not understand Falun Gong and have said things disrespectful toward Dafa. I was initially quite opposed when relatives suggested that Wang Ping practice Falun Gong. I even said something hurtful to Dafa practitioners. But recently, I really saw Dafa practitioners demonstrating their great tolerance and compassion, something unthinkable in ordinary society. These incidents have changed my outlook and attitude about Dafa. The truth has revealed all the lies of the Chinese Communist Party!
