Solemn Statement

On October 15, 2002, four policemen came to ransack my home. They confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun, Teacher's portrait, a tape recorder, some cassettes and two copies of truth-clarification materials. Later they took me to a hotel where other practitioners were detained. They put me in handcuffs and shackles. They also had four of my colleagues from work come to monitor me around the clock. My colleagues and the police drank and ate every day at my expense, saying, "You have to pay our room and board, plus we're going to fine you five to six thousand yuan in the end." Later, under the protection of Teacher, I escaped from the hotel at around 2 or 3 o'clock one night. They couldn't find me, so they issued an arrest warrant and suspended my pension. They also went to my son's work unit and threatened him, "If you can't get your father to come back home, we'll fire you from your job. If you know your father's whereabouts but do not tell us, we will sentence you to five years of education through forced labor." Later they told my son, "How about you write a guarantee statement and have your father put his fingerprint on it?" I was deceived and put my fingerprint on the statement my son wrote for me. I hereby solemnly declare that the statement plus everything I did that did not conform to Dafa are null and void. I will do the three things well and make up the loss I brought to Dafa.

Solemn Statement

I had poor health ever since I was little. Before I started to practice Falun Dafa, I had heart disease, liver problems, skin cancer and other illnesses. In January 1996, I was fortunate enough to learn about Falun Dafa, and Teacher purified my body. Soon I came to realize that Teacher had extended my life for me. However, after the persecution began in 1999, I did not do well. In December 1999, my work unit forced me to write a guarantee statement. Every year the evil arrested and sent me to brainwashing classes. Every time they would ask me, my family and my work unit to write guarantee statements. There were also people who imitated my handwriting and wrote statements promising I would give up the practice of Falun Gong. Out of fear, I did not stop them. I hereby solemnly declare null and void the following things:

The guarantee statements I wrote for myself and for my wife in December 1999, the forms I filled out and signed when I was in brainwashing classes, everything I said and did that did not conform to Dafa, all statements written by others on my behalf, and all statements written by my work unit on my behalf. Teacher and Dafa have given me a second life and I will firmly cultivate Dafa. I will do the three things well and make up the loss I brought to Dafa.
