(Clearwisdom.net) From the beginning of April to the end of May, Chengde City National Security Bureau and Chengde City Police Bureau in Hebei Province conducted a so-called "Spring Storm" action to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Every subdivision received an order to investigate local practitioners. The city police bureau sent policemen to every county to follow practitioners and tap their cellphones. Some practitioners have been harassed and illegally arrested.

Officers from the Chengde City National Security Bureau went to big cities to install wiretapping systems. The system is used to monitor Langfang City's practitioners' cell phones. They also pose as Falun Gong practitioners. They impressed practitioners with computer skills, knowledge of Dafa practice, etc. As result, several "truth-clarification" materials production sites in other big cities were damaged. Those people often go to Hong Kong. They use their informants to contact practitioners in Mainland China and then arrest them.

April 18, 2006, 3:30a.m., practitioner Ms. Li Shulan from Chengde City Jingshouying Mine was arrested by the local police. Also, a copy machine and some truth clarification materials were taken away. Several days later, Ms Li was sent to Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp in Hebei Province. She was sent to an unknown place in Chengde after the labor camp refused to take her.

In the evening on March 27, practitioner Mr. Zhang Aiming was arrested by policeman Xiang Cong and Liu Mingchen from the State Security Division of the Chengde City Police Sub-department while he was working. His home was illegally searched. A copy machine, truth clarification material, and some Dafa books were taken away. Mr. Zhang is being "illegally detained" at Chengde City's Xiaolaohu Detention Center.

On March 4 at 3:43 a.m., practitioner Mr. Zhou Qingtao from Guoshan Community Chengdue Iron and Steel (group) Ltd. was distributing truth clarification flyers inthe subdivision. He was discovered by company security patrol officer Yu Chunsheng from the company security department and security guard Zhao Hang. They called Officer Xiao Chunlei from the company security department, and Team Leader Wang Xiangdong from the Guoshang Team, to corner Mr. Zhou. Mr. Zhou is now detained at Chengde City Police Bureau Gangcheng Sub-department.

Practitioner Ms. Liu Xiaorong was forced to leave home to avoid persecution. On March 18 on her way back home from Beijing to Longhua, she was "illegally arrested" while she was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong on the train. She is being detained in the Longhua Huiyaogou Dentition Center. She is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and is on the verge of the death.
