Additional Information Regarding Dafa Practitioner Mr. Liu Zhirong's Death from Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Liu Zhirong was a teacher at the Tuanjie Elementary School in Xifeng District, Qingyang City, Gansu Province. He was persecuted to death on January 10, 2006 by the guards in Section 1 of the No. 3 Prison in Tianshui City, Gansu Province. The prison guards cremated Mr. Liu Zhirong's body without his family's permission on January 14, 2006, in Tianshui Cremation Facility, and his ashes were sent back to the Qingyang Cremation Facility. His wife held a simple memorial service for him on May 8, 2006.

In order to cooperate with the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China," I prepared this additional information regarding the death of Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Zhirong, hoping that I could identify the main perpetrators. In the meantime I also believed it would warn those who continue to persecute Dafa practitioners: Evil begets retribution, stop the persecution against Dafa practitioners.

Detailed information

1. On January 14, 2006, when Mr. Liu Zhirong's body was shown to his family members, the guards stated that Mr. Liu committed suicide. But there was no blood either on his body or on the quilt.

2. The corner of Mr. Liu's eye was festered. When his family member asked the cause, the guard replied, "That was caused by a mouse bite."

3. There are different versions of Mr. Liu's death. One witness (an inmate) stated, "The guards beat him to death. They carried Mr. Liu Zhirong out of the room with only one shoe on his foot and they took him straight to the hospital." Another witness said, "Mr. Liu died after the guard fiercely kicked him at the root of his ear." One guard claimed, "He committed suicide with a knife." Another guard said, "He committed suicide with a piece of a broken thermos bottle." A third guard said, "He committed suicide with a broken beer bottle."

4. One week after Mr. Liu passed away, his wife received a letter from him, asking her to send him a pair of shoes, and some food and articles for daily use.
