Searching For Falun Dafa Practitioner Song Ping from Futian District, Shenzhen City

I am writing to enlist the help of the CIPFG to search for my relative, Song Ping.

Ms. Song Ping was in her thirties and unmarried when she was "illegally imprisoned"; currently, she is 40 years old. Before the persecution of Falun Dafa started on July 20, 1999 she was once the director of the Falun Dafa Assistance Center in Futian District, Shenzhen. In 1999, Falun Dafa fell victim to the persecution initiated by Jiang's gang. In order to demand the restoration of Falun Dafa's good name, practitioner Song Ping went to Tiananmen Square many times to hold banners and validate the Fa. She was detained by the police and unjustifiably sentenced to one and a half years in prison. She was released on April 25, 2001.

In June 2001, Song Ping was distributing printed materials about Falun Dafa in Nanjing when government agents arrested her again and sentenced her to five years in prison. She was imprisoned at the women's prison at 63 Haodong road, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. In the prison, she firmly held on to her belief in Falun Dafa and resisted forced "transformation", for which she suffered severe persecution.

In 2001, agents from Nantong prison dispatched someone to Song Ping's home in an attempt to get her family to collaborate with the government and try to "reform" her, but her relatives did not cooperate. Song Ping's parents are already dead and she only has an older brother. Subsequently, the older brother's family mailed money and supplies to the address provided by the person from the prison, but received no response. They also called the telephone number provided and wrote letters but received no reply. The prison authorities told them that Song Ping must agree to be "reformed" or her family members would not be allowed to visit her or know her whereabouts. Some of Song Ping's friends from Shenzhen also tried everything to find out where she was being detained.

To this date, Song's older brother does not know where his sister is. Her family members have been extremely worried for five long years. They have become especially anxious after hearing the news about the atrocious organ harvesting from live Falun Dafa practitioners. We hope that the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China will help us search for Falun Dafa practitioner Song Ping.
