Switzerland: Falun Dafa Information Day in Zurich City Centre (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) Even though it was drizzling on May 20th, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners held another Falun Gong information day in Parade Square in Zurich.
Many people were standing in the rain, watching practitioners demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises, and reading the information on the display boards about the spread of Falun Gong around the world and its persecution in China. They were shocked to learn about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) harvesting organs from live Falun Gong practitioners. Some people asked in detail about the practice of Falun Gong, why it is being persecuted and what they can do to stop this atrocity.
Practitioners told them that Falun Gong is a traditional Chinese cultivation practice which teaches the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. But because the CCP follows the principles of deceit, wickedness, and violence, they would not allow the 100 million Falun Gong practitioners to follow the principles of Falun Gong and be good people; that is why they started the suppression of Falun Gong seven years ago. The practitioners further recommended that people learn more by reading the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party published by The Epoch Times newspaper, which exposes the evil nature of the CCP objectively and systematically. It is invaluable for anyone who wants to understand the CCP and to understand why the party would suppress Falun Gong which is widely practiced in eighty countries around the world. Some people said that the suppression of Falun Gong by the CCP is really horrifying, especially after they found out that living practitioners are subjected to organ harvesting and are then cremated to destroy the evidence. Many people signed the petition asking for an investigation into the suppression of Falun Gong as soon as possible, so that the truth will be revealed sooner. Some of them wanted to donate money to Falun Gong practitioners, but the practitioners told them that Falun Gong does not accept financial support. Instead, they told people that if they want to, they can help by telling more people about the suppression, and they can write letters to their government and media to let more people know the facts. Stopping the spread of the CCP's lies and propaganda against Falun Gong would offer the most support for Falun Gong.
A tourist from Ireland told a practitioner that he has personally witnessed the beating of Falun Gong practitioners by the police. The first time was near the Forbidden City; he saw two Falun Gong practitioners opening up a banner and they were quickly beaten up by many men and then dragged away by the policemen. The other time, he saw a man and a child doing the meditation on the pavement while displaying a banner, then policemen quickly came up and gathered around them, and finally brought them away. He said that this is a very serious violation of the freedom of speech, and everyone should be entitled to the freedom of expressing their own view and have freedom of belief, but this is currently lacking in China.
This tourist also said that he has seen Falun Gong practitioners at many places, for example in Japan and in front of the International Court of Justice in The Hague. He said that it is incomprehensible that people can practice Falun Gong all around the world, but it is banned in China.
"I want to learn Falun Gong."
An architect from Kreuzlingen named Christofel said that he has been searching for various ways of spiritual practice. He asked a lot of questions about Falun Gong, and also learned the five sets of exercises. During the process he said that he could feel strong energy flowing in his body, and said that he would go to the local practice site to learn the exercises further.
Christofel also said that he knew about the seven years suppression of Falun Gong in China and the atrocity of the CCP in harvesting organs from live Falun Gong practitioners followed by their cremation. He thought that this is a very serious crime. He further commented that he could not comprehend why the CCP would persecute a practice which bring such a positive effect to people's spiritual well-being. He said that he loved Chinese culture and hoped that every Chinese person would have the right to choose their own path and that the ruling power would not interfere with people's freedom of belief.
"I am not going to buy cheap products made in China anymore"
After learning that some Falun Gong practitioners are forced to do long hours of labor in forced labor camps, sometimes in very toxic environments, a passer-by said that she will not buy any cheap products from China anymore, because she knows now that the production of the goods involves the violation of human rights. She said that she knew about the suppression of Falun Gong.
Many people thought that it was really noble for the practitioners to hold this kind of truth clarification activity, to help more people know about what is really happening in China. Many people knew that the production of cheap goods from China involves unscrupulous activities and human rights violations, but this is rarely exposed by the media. They thought that the government and the media should put more effort into solving this human rights issue.
"I will tell my Chinese friends about the truth of the persecution"
A woman started a conversation with a practitioner, and said that she knew all about the suppression of Falun Gong in China. She said that she is currently working in China. The practitioner asked her to tell all her friends in China about the truth of the persecution, and talked to her about how the information blockade by the CCP prevents lots of people from learning the truth. She said, "Of course, I will tell my Chinese friends all about this. I have many Chinese friends, I will tell them."
