Six Falun Gong practitioners from Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia held a news conference today to call for the Bush administration to drop charges against a reporter who heckled Chinese President Hu Jintao during a White House ceremony in April.

Speaking in front of Chattanooga's City Hall, they condemned the Chinese [regime] for persecuting Falun Gong followers. He said the [regime...] has been harvesting organs from practitioners imprisoned in concentration camps.

The reporter, Dr. Wang Wenyi had staged a public protest at the White House on April 20, shouting, "President Bush, stop him (President Hu) from persecuting Falun Gong," and, "President Bush, stop him from killing." She is now facing up to six months in federal prison.

Mike Chen, a Falun Gong follower from Alabama, said, "She is brave, she is compassionate. We all need to stand up to appeal to end this ... most severe crime against humanity."
