Everlasting Memories of Teacher's Classes in Chengdu

Fellow practitioners have written articles recalling Falun Gong classes that Teacher held in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. Here I would like to talk about what I saw personally to serve as a supplement.

On May 29, 1994, we came to Niuwangmiao in Chengdu City. While we were on Zidongzheng Street we learned that Teacher was holding a class in Chengdu. At the time all we knew was that Teacher was teaching qigong and had no idea that He was teaching the Buddha Law. Normally I was very busy and was tied up all year long. It just so happened that I had some free time then. So I was fortunate to be able to attend the nine-day class at which Teacher personally taught the Fa. It indeed was predestined.

In the second class, I saw Teacher's body radiating a glow about three meters in diameter. In the middle was a transparent, very high-density energy material. Outside of this was a circle of light resembling a rainbow. Further out was a colorful glow. It was extremely pure and beautiful. On each side of Teacher I saw four or five enlightened people sitting. Standing next to them was a tall, enlightened person, one on each side, with a row of enlightened figures in the form of golden light behind him. There were four smaller people with their hats on sitting in front of Teacher.

A female practitioner in her 30s was sitting in front of me. She had a circle of red light about a meter and a half in diameter around her head. There was a reddish glow around the edge, just like the ones on big bodhisattvas shown in pictures. The only difference was that in the pictures the glow was either bluish or whitish but this female practitioner's glow was reddish. Her daughter sitting next to her to the right kept looking at me. I asked her, "What are you looking at?" She said, "I've got an eye here," pointing at a spot slightly above the midpoint between her eyes.

Teacher lived very simply. One morning I saw Teacher walking toward the class while eating a steamed bun. He dressed quite plainly, in a white shirt and blue pants, both moderately new.

One afternoon Teacher arrived a bit early. He went to the house where veteran practitioners lived. I lived there, too. I saw Teacher coming while I was in the hallway, and I made the "heshi" gesture toward Teacher. Knowing Teacher was there, other practitioners rushed to wash some peaches and serve them to Teacher in a bowl. Teacher ate one, held, and touched the rest and put them back in the bowl. I did not want to disturb Teacher so I did not go in while He was there but went in afterwards. Veteran practitioners said, "Teacher ate one. All these have been touched by Teacher. They have been blessed." I said, "These are Buddha fruit. Eat them and you will get a Buddha position." So all of us shared the peaches and ate them.

One Sunday we were ready to go to Baoguang Temple. Then we heard that Teacher was going, too. We decided to go in the afternoon instead in order not to disturb Teacher. Fellow practitioners told us that Teacher's Buddha-glow was especially strong and pretty that day. Several hundred Arhat (in another dimension) welcomed Him with hand gestures. He stayed at one particular location in the temple somewhat longer. According to the practitioners with their third eye open it was because a Buddha was talking with Him. Teacher told the practitioners something like, "You benefited quite a bit coming with me today." One of the practitioners had black qi on his back in the morning as he left, but it was gone when he returned. He even felt as if light was radiating from him. Indeed he benefited. When we went to Baoguang Temple in the afternoon, we felt it was somewhat different than before. It was more peaceful and pure.

Teacher said in Zhuan Falun:

Indeed that was the case. When Teacher was adjusting my body, I saw that one lump after another of black qi gushed out of my inner organs. There were just too many of them. When Teacher adjusted my brain, my head ached badly and I saw that there was a big wheel spinning swiftly in and around my head. I could even hear the swirling sound. That night I saw a lump of white material the size of a bowl on top of my head. It radiated white light, which encompassed my whole body and gave me a good feeling.

At the end of the nine-day class in Chengdu, Teacher did a set of Dashouyin (a form of hand gestures). Afterwards, Teacher stood in front of the podium and told the practitioners that had accompanied Him, "If you get it you get it." (Referring to the Dashouyin). Too bad I did not get it. Teacher was ready to leave and the practitioners were reluctant to see Him go. Tears fell from the eyes of some. What Teacher taught us was just so great. It truly touched our hearts. The benevolence and peacefulness and Teacher's patient teaching would stay in our memories forever. We could not express in any words the appreciation and gratitude we had toward Teacher. All we could do was keep applauding. We tried to express our deepest and most sincere thanks to Teacher with one wave of applause after another. Then Teacher raised His right hand and drew three circles with the left hand following and pushed three consecutive times toward the practitioners with His hand. I saw a lump of golden light about three inches in diameter being emitted from Teacher's palm. The applause exploded again and would not stop.

The level of my third eye was rather low. This is all that I saw. I am sure there were many more wonderful things that I did not see.
