California, USA: Persecution Once Again Draws Public Attention at California State University, Chico (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) To further expose the Chinese Communist regime's brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners, on April 17, 2006, practitioners studying at California State University, Chico set up a booth to introduce the facts of the persecution in the Free Speech zone on campus. The booth drew the attention of teachers and students alike. Many signed the petition to support the effort to stop the persecution, and many showed their interest in learning the Falun Gong exercises. The school newspaper also reported on the event.

In the Free Speech zone, the eye-catching Falun Dafa booth was covered with posters explaining the facts, from Falun Dafa's wide spread in the world, to the seven years of brutal persecution that practitioners have been through in China. Also discussed was the recent revelation of the atrocity of organ harvesting from live practitioners in concentration camps in China. Many people stopped to read the information. They told the practitioners that they were shocked, and felt that such a terrible thing was hard to believe.

Many visitors recalled the practitioners' anti-torture exhibition at the same spot last year, and expressed their admiration of the mighty compassion and forbearance the practitioners showed in the face of such a brutal persecution. They said, "You're still so peaceful, it's so amazing and touching to me."

A young woman took a copy of the petition form for calling for an end to the persecution, saying that she would have all twenty of her classmates sign it. Another student rushed to the booth right after class, to ask to sign the petition. The student said he came because one of his classmates brought a truth-clarification flier to class.
