(Clearwisdom.net) When Jiao Guobiao, once an Associate Professor in the School of Journalism of Beijing University, was asked about the significance of "The Allied Group to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (AGIPFGC)," he said, "It is of great significance. No matter whether the members are granted visas or not, going through such a process is very necessary." He has since indicated he wants to be an observer and accompany the investigation group.

After learning that people under the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) orders have been harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, Jiao Guobiao indicated that he does not feel surprised, no matter what cruel things have happened in China. He said, "After learning of the accusations that agents from the CCP remove Falun Gong practitioners' organs while they are still alive, I felt it quite possible that such a thing has happened and I did not feel surprised. The cruelty of the Chinese people, and the cruelty between people are evident everywhere. When an animal catches its prey, it never blinks its eyes. When you really look and observe the present China, you can see that although they look like human beings, their hearts behind their human appearance are crueler than those of the beasts."

Jiao Guobiao said, "It is not an issue for me to do anything that I can do. I am not clear about the qualifications an investigator needs to have, but it should not be a problem for me to be an observer. I can stand on a fair position to observe the whole truth investigation process. Before this, I had done a joint seventeen-day investigation with lawyer Gao Zhisheng on the persecution that Falun Gong practitioners have been subjected to."

Jiao emphasized, "Without a credible investigation team, the investigation results will not be believable. The investigation should be transparent, and open. The accuser, the accused, the United Nations, The United States, European countries, and other entities, including the relevant organizations from the United Nations should all join the investigation. The whole investigation process should be open to the public and the criminal evidence should be transparent."

When the reporter asked if the CCP would permit such an independent and free investigation group to enter China, Jiao responded, "Just like the past, when the Nationalist Party was monopolizing the power in Taiwan, it was very difficult for many of the truths to be revealed. However, we should never stop the effort because of this."

Jiao Guobiao, 43 years old, was born in 1963 in Qi County, Henan Province. He earned a Ph.D. degree from the School of Journalism, the Renmin University of China. He was once an Associate Professor in the School of Journalism of Beijing University. Mr. Jiao is a writer and is particularly renowned for his essays' novel ideas and unique style. He has published over ten books of essays in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea. Because of his 2004 publication entitled "Declaration of the Campaign against the CCP Central Committee Propaganda Department," Beijing University unilaterally made the decision in 2005 that he had "resigned from his position." In November 2005, he and Gao Zhisheng conducted a seventeen-day investigation into the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. He now makes his living as a writer.
