By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Shanghai

(Clearwisdom.net) Master said in "Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles,"

I currently understand two layers of meaning of this paragraph of the Fa:

(1) If we keep very strong righteous thoughts in validating the Fa, we can do away with the arrangements of the old forces and our lives will not be in danger. For those practitioners who are very clear on the Fa principles, they are not in any danger. My understanding is that Master is telling disciples: Do not be afraid; you are Dafa disciples; as long as you have strong righteous thoughts, the bad people will be scared of you, and so will be the demons."

(2) However, because we are cultivating among everyday people, we will come across obstacles to prevent us from breaking through the human mentality when we try to step out of human reasoning that has formed so deeply in our bones over thousands of years. Sometimes when we fail to regard ourselves as cultivators and instead treat ourselves as everyday people, it is as Master says,

When this happens, some practitioners may unwittingly take the paths arranged by the old forces and certain incidents will appear, including those where some practitioners lose their human bodies ahead of time due to their pledge signed with the old forces. Because the old forces wanted to achieve their own goals, they also made arrangements for the Fa- rectification of the cosmos. Although what those practitioners have done in validating the Fa will not be in vain, still they failed to stay in the human world to rescue more sentient beings.

Each time when such an incident happens, it is a test for our cultivation body as a whole. Let us ask ourselves deep in our hearts: Do I truly believe in Master and the Fa? When there are a large number of fellow practitioners being subjected to organ harvesting while they are still alive, and when fellow practitioners who cultivated really well have left the human world due to serious illnesses, even though each case is different, it poses a fundamental test to see who can walk on the cultivation path right to the end!

If we are clear on the Fa principles, we will truly have faith in Master and in the Fa and we will be able to keep righteous thoughts and righteous actions as cultivators walking on the path towards godhood. If we fail to do so, we will have doubts, and these doubts and human attachments will become loopholes for the evil to take advantage of, and omissions that prevent us from walking our paths righteously. They will also become excuses for the old forces to carry out the so-called tests with various evil means. Under such circumstances, the old forces will have excuses to intensify the persecution of Dafa disciples so as to achieve their own evil purpose.

"Fear" cannot resolve any problems and can only delay our own cultivation and our mission to offer sentient beings salvation; therefore we must disintegrate it. When an incident of brutal persecution of Dafa disciples appears in human society, from their attitude toward that specific incident, sentient beings' true character standards are examined, which thus positions them in the future cosmos. This applies equally to ordinary human beings, sentient beings and Dafa disciples. But Dafa disciples have chosen to assimilate to the Fa and assist Master in the Fa-rectification and rescue sentient beings of their own accord. What an important and glorious mission we have! We must not go against the pledges we had signed with Master due to temporary interference from human attachments, or become slack at this critical moment in history; otherwise it will result in us harming ourselves and destroying sentient beings. From 1992 on, when Master started teaching the Fa till today, so many practitioners have come through with their firm belief in Master and in the Fa, even though they have never seen Master in person. So many truths of the Buddha Fa have manifested in our genuine cultivation. There are also many fellow practitioners who have, in different ways, experienced, realized or even clearly seen that the universal law is indeed grandly spreading in the human world.

As a matter of fact, I used to have a big attachment of fear in the past. At the beginning of 2000, the night before I went to Beijing to validate the Fa, I truly felt this fear, as if the world had come to an end, the feeling that could not only be described by the human word "fear." When I had made up my mind that I would go, Master took away my "fear" element. The next day I felt that there was nothing in the world that would frighten me. I was not afraid of life or death, of imprisonment or any hardships. It was indeed a feeling of "Heaven is clear; the body transparent"! Master once said he had pushed us to the highest possible position. At that moment I felt it was so true and it was feeling of happiness when a life has elevated to a higher realm.

Isn't it true that the old forces created the CCP to test Dafa disciples when the time came? Isn't it also true that the CCP made people develop fear of it in their mind through its series of political movements giving people hard times so that it would be able to use people as their tools. The significance of Dafa disciples existing in the human world is precisely to disintegrate such evil elements that aim at undermining Dafa and destroying sentient beings, so that Dafa disciples can elevate themselves and save sentient beings. This is a focal manifestation of righteous elements and evil elements in the human world. If we give in to our attachment of fear, we will enhance the elements of the evil Party's spectres; this would be no different than strengthening its energy and unwittingly helping it harm more lives. We must take this matter seriously and make a correct choice.

Let us disintegrate the attachment to fear with our righteous thoughts! Master said,

Master will protect and help Dafa disciples. Moreover, Master said, "A demon will never be higher than a Tao." (Chapter 5 in Zhuan Falun) The evil Party is only a low-level evil specter, and, in Master's words, "a tiny finger will be more than enough to crush it." (Chapter 3 in Zhuan Falun) There is nothing to be afraid of. Fellow practitioners: let us endure hardships and be diligent. Master and sentient beings are placing high hopes in us!
