Ms. Liu Meizhen Sentenced to Three Year Prison Term Without Notification to Her Family

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Meizhen, 65, lives in Dadong District, in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. She was arrested on November 21, 2005 by police officers from the Liaoshen Station and sent to the Zaohua Detention Center after being tortured at the Station.

On April 6, 2006, her family went to the Zaohua Detention Center to visit, and the guards told them that Ms. Liu Meizhen had been sentenced to three years in prison and sent to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison.

On April 10, 2006, Ms. Liu's family went to the prison to visit her, and saw that she was being aided by two people, because she could not walk on her own. She is now detained in the Sixth Group of the Third Ward.
