Episodes from Earth Day in California Capital (Photos)


(Cleawisdom.net) April 22 was "Earth Day", and University of California at Davis held a large event to promote values of environmental care and protection. Local Falun Gong practitioners were invited to the event to tell people about the practice.

The lady apologized to practitioners for how Ms. Wenyi Wang was treated

The Falun Gong booth was located at a busy cross-section. Their eye-catching banners, posters and exercises demonstration attracted many pedestrians' attention. In fact, a lot of people knew about Falun Gong already. Some came directly for materials, asking for information of the local practice site. There were also people who signed the practitioners' petition right away upon seeing the signature collection board.

Many Americans have learned about Wenyi Wang's protest at the Whitehouse through media reports. They expressed their respect to Ms. Wang for her courageous act.

A lady came to the practitioners' booth and said to the practitioners seriously: I apologize for President Bush! He shouldn't have apologized to your president (Communist leader Hu Jintao)! The lady (Wenyi Wang) did a right thing!"

An American described the protest based on what he saw from TV and commended Ms Wang.

On another occasion, a resident shouted loudly across the street to the practitioners' booth: "God bless Falun Gong!"

Many people stopped by the booth to chat with practitioners. Comparing to past years, practitioners felt that more and more people are quietly watching and supporting Falun Gong.
