Experience of Breaking Through a Brainwashing Center in Nanjing with Righteous Thoughts

Around October 1, 2000, many Dafa disciples in the Nanjing Area went to Beijing to validate the Fa. Every level of the 610 Office, from top to bottom, was infuriated. In order to persecute Dafa disciples, the 610 Offices of Jiangsu Province and Nanjing City teamed up with each other during the last 10 days of October that year to establish the first brainwashing center in the Nanjing Area. They detained about 100 Dafa disciples in the center.

At that time, Master's comments on a practitioner's article "Eliminate Demonic Nature" had just been published. After studying the principles of the Fa in the comments, we began to realize that Dafa disciples' cultivation was different from anyone else's in history and that we should resist the persecution firmly and not accept it. Some of the practitioners who were detained at that time recalled how, once the brainwashing center opened, they sent an open letter both to the center and to the local government. The letter pointed out in no uncertain terms the unlawful nature of the so-called brainwashing center, emphasizing that it was illegal to detain and persecute people there, and demanded that the school and the local government release them without any stipulations. At the same time, they did not participate in any activity in the center. The center forbade the practitioners from doing the exercises. The practitioners did not care and did the exercises all the same. The center authorities tried to force the practitioners to study the deceitful articles, which framed cases against Dafa. The practitioners either recited Master's articles or rationally refuted the center's articles, allowing none of the teaching assistants to control the situation.

One day after lunch, the practitioners gathered in the dining hall, against the orders of the teaching assistants, and sat in rows. One female practitioner stood up and led the group to recite Hong Yin. She recited a sentence, and all the practitioners loudly recited the sentence after her. The righteous thoughts and deeds of the practitioners scared the center officials. The teaching assistants all squeezed into the dinning hall to try to pull the practitioners out, threatening them or begging them to stop the reciting and go back to the dormitory, but nobody listened to them. The more they hindered us, the more we thought with one mind, and the louder our voices became. It had been cloudy for the previous few days, but when the practitioners recited, "The Buddha Light Illuminates Everywhere and Rectifies All Abnormalities," the sky suddenly cleared, and the sun shone outside the window. This astounded the authorities and encouraged every practitioner. At that moment, they all felt that Master was right beside them, and their voices became louder.

Due to the practitioners' strong righteous thoughts and deeds, the city brainwashing center was finally dismantled.

Several years have passed, but the events of that time are deeply etched in every practitioner's memory, encouraging us to strive forward diligently on the road of Fa-rectification cultivation.
