Solemn Statement

After July 20, 1999, due to the lies, deception and intimidation [of the CCP], under the evil's enormous pressure, I could not stand the endless harassment, threats and mental torture in our town coming to our home and field from the evil people, and thus I burned my daughter's Dafa book Zhuan Falun. I interfered with my daughter's cultivation of Dafa and swore at Master Li and other Dafa practitioners. When the evil persecuted my daughter, I also wrote a pledge for my daughter to guarantee that she "would not practice the exercises, not appeal and not assemble," and what I have done hurt my loved one and made the evil people happy. Later after my daughter did her best to clarify the truth to me and convince me, I realized that what I did was extremely wrong. Therefore, I am making a solemn statement that the things I have said and done to defame Dafa and Master under the evil pressure are all nullified. At present, I sincerely apologize to Falun Dafa's Master and practitioners. Please forgive me. I believe that Falun Dafa is good and is the righteous Fa, and Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truth-Compassion-Forbearance) is good. I positively support my children practicing Falun Dafa and I am also practicing Falun Dafa now.

I am over 80 years old. Two of my daughters practice Falun Gong and their temperaments improved after their practice of Falun Gong and their illnesses also disappeared. After July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party sentenced one of my daughters to illegal detention for 10 years, and I started to complain about Dafa and said some disrespectful words towards Dafa and Master Li. In fact, the Chinese Communist Party arrested my daughter and stopped her from practicing Dafa and becoming a good person. Wasn't I wrong for complaining about Dafa? After my daughter clarified the truth to me, I understood that I should not complain about Dafa. In fact, I also know that Dafa teaches us to be good people and value morality. Over the years, I became afraid after being persecuted by the CCP for such a long time, but now I am no longer afraid of the CCP. I would like to make this solemn statement: The things I have said and done against Dafa and Master Li are nullified. In the future, I will use all opportunities to tell people that Falun Dafa is good and make up for all the losses I caused.

I am the brother of a Dafa practitioner. When the CCP's 610 Office confiscated my elder brother's home, I wrote a "pledge" for my brother. At that time, they confiscated three of my brothers' homes. Because my brother practiced Falun Dafa, those evil people from the "610 Office" and some policemen illegally confiscated my brother's home. Without our agreement or any arrest order, they confiscated my second elder brother's home and my home. Because my elder brother and I work in the same workplace, they arrested my brother and me and detained us at the City Police Department without following any legal procedures or giving notice in advance to any of our families. They arrested us very secretively. Such an incident has been a common phenomenon in Mainland China, and the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners especially does not follow any legal procedures. They arbitrarily arrest, beat and implicate Dafa practitioners' families and children, and even the supervisors at practitioners' workplaces. At that time, if I had not written the "pledge", they would not have allowed my child to go to school, and they would have deprived our right to work and even deprived us of the basic living rights. I hereby make the solemn statement that all so-called "pledges" that I have written are nullified. I believe that Falun Dafa is good! I want to make up for my sins. I also would like to use opportunities to tell people that Falun Dafa is good. I appreciate Falun Dafa's Master's gracious effort to save us!
