Australia: People of Toowoomba Sign Petition Opposing Persecution of Falun Gong (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) June 4 is World Environment Day. This year, the Toowoomba City Environmental Management Committee organized activities in Lake Annard Park to raise people’s awareness of important issues concerning our natural and social environment. Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the activities and we used this opportunity to further clarify the truth to people about Falun Gong and the on-going persecution in China, especially the recently revealed atrocities of organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners under the Chinese Communist regime.

A Falun Gong representative was also invited to speak onstage about Falun Gong and the persecution, particularly the live organ harvesting revelation. The speech was very well received and the local people thanked the practitioners for bringing such an important issue to their attention.

Many people viewed the truth-clarification pictures. Some people said that they had known of the persecution of Falun Gong but didn't realize it was so severe and cruel. Many people predicted that such a cruel regime in China will not last long.

Besides exposing the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners displayed the beauty of Falun Dafa by demonstrating the exercises, and performing waist drums and traditional dances, which received warm applause from the audience.

An older lady in a wheelchair told us of her feelings: "I am deeply touched by your beautiful performances. It is very worthwhile coming here today. I don’t understand why such a beautiful practice is being persecuted in China. I have signed your petition and truly hope you’ll succeed in what you are doing."
