Recollections of Master Teaching the Fa in Tianjin

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 13, 1994, Master came to teach the Fa in Tianjin for the second time. The location was the Eighty-first Hall. I was very fortunate to hear Master's lecture and witness Master's actions.

At that time my understanding of Dafa was still very shallow. I had doubts about Dafa, and I had a "wait-and-see" attitude.

One day Master walked from the guest lodge to the Eighty-first Hall, and practitioners gathered around him, row upon row. Such an enthusiastic and high-spirited scene was something that I had never seen before. People near Master wanted to get closer, and people farther away tried to come near. Some people closely followed behind Master, but they could not see Master's face, so they grasped Master's sleeves. Most of the practitioners welcomed Master with enthusiastic applause.

I vividly recall the moment when Master righteously walked in to the lecture hall. Suddenly a man stepped out the crowd, knelt down in front of Master's feet and began kowtowing. Tears streamed down his cheeks. This man had cancer, and he heard about Master's teaching the Fa in the news. He called to find out more about Dafa. Talking to Master for only a few minutes significantly alleviated this man's pain. In such excitement, this man found the lecture hall, knelt down before Master, and expressed his gratitude.

All the while, Master's expression was peaceful and benevolent. Master smiled at the this person and helped him stand up. Master kept walking forward. He looked so calm and compassionate. Master seemed to be detached from the excited atmosphere. I felt Master was beyond all of this emotion.

Suddenly I was awestruck. I realized that Master was not an ordinary person. What kind of a person can remain so serene in such contagious excitement? What kind of a person can be so immune to honor, fame, and desire? He must be a great enlightened being.

On the last day of the lecture series, we knew that it was time to say goodbye to Master. Every practitioner felt uneasy, and it seemed that we were departing from our closest relative.

As of today, I have cultivated for twelve years and have gone through numerous tribulations. However, even in the darkest days, nothing could shake my belief in Dafa and my reverence for Master. I always think of those days when Master taught the Fa in Tianjin. Master's seemingly ordinary conduct deeply touched, encouraged, and uplifted me. I have the strength to conquer evil.
