(Clearwisdom.net) Over a long time, there has been mutual distrust among some practitioners and between the Falun Dafa Association and some practitioners in our local areas. When they have different viewpoints on some specific things, they usually insist on their own viewpoints and dispute with each other. Sometimes this leads to their doingDafa projects separately and not forming one body. Moreover, this kind of disagreement became a notion and caused distrust. This creates some negative influence on the Fa-rectification in these local areas. I hereby want to share my understandings with practitioners.

I think the reason this situation developed is because sometimes the perspectives by which we judge things are incorrect. We all cultivate in an ordinary people’s environment, and especially right now we are in the Fa-rectification period. Many human notions and all kinds of evil are interfering with our every single thought. Gradually, some human notions might unconsciously interfere with us. For instance, if we have different viewpoints than other practitioners, sometimes we think that the viewpoints matching our notions are right and the viewpoints not matching our notions are wrong. This causes disputes or even blame among practitioners and creates a situation of distrust. Actually, this is because our standpoint was based on human notions and we did not base it on the principle of the cosmos, "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" as the criteria of distinguishing good from evil. Master said,

"As a practitioner, one must assess things with the characteristic of the universe. Only then can one distinguish what is genuinely good and what is truly bad." (Zhuan Falun)

When we judge practitioners’ different viewpoints based on "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," we can find that most of their viewpoints are actually correct (certainly the viewpoints deviated from the characteristic of the universe should be excluded), because most of their ideas are intended to safeguard Dafa, clarify the truth and save sentient beings. The different levels of cultivation and different enlightenments from the Fa result in different viewpoints and methods. Just like there are eighty-four thousand cultivation disciplines in the Buddhist system, and each discipline has a different way of cultivation. Some of them are faster and some are slower. Some are easier and some are more complex. But they are all righteous cultivation disciplines. If we can understand this, then our disputes will no longer exist. Instead, we will discuss with each other, compare and select the best and most direct ideas from practitioners’ different viewpoints and methods to achieve our goal. At the same time we will allow more practitioners to participate. We will then achieve mutual understanding and do things well as one body.

When we study the Fa and share our cultivation experiences, we repeatedly emphasize that we should form one body to do things and should not have disagreements. Actually we are originally one body and do not have many disagreements. The Fa connects us together. Only when our viewpoints were not based on the Fa did we create unnecessary disagreements and distrustful notions. If we can truly realize this and pay attention to this, our efficiency and degree of accomplishment when doing things as one body will be improved a lot. If we can understand the principle of the Fa, then we can harmonize all disagreements.

My personal level is very limited. Fellow practitioners please point out anything improper with compassion.
