Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners in Dortmund Raise Awareness of the Persecution During the World Cup (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) From June 9^th to July 9^th, the World Cup is being held in Germany. Dortmund is one of the 12 hosting cities. On June 10 and 14, two games were held in the city. Reportedly, more than 250,000 soccer fans from all over the world swarmed into Dortmund to watch the games. Taking this opportunity, practitioners from Nordrhein-Westfalen state organized truth-clarifying events in the downtown area to let the public know the truth of the persecution and the atrocities committed by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) in order to garner more public support to end the persecution.

As always, practitioners prepared banners, photos and fliers. In addition, they also printed fliers in other languages, including Polish, Italian and English. Some practitioners also made many delicate paper lotus flowers and bookmarks for tourists to take. The practitioners collaborated well and the activities, which included truth clarification, signature collection and exercise demonstrations, went smoothly.

Upon hearing of the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong and its atrocities of harvesting organs for profit, an elderly couple said that they had no doubt about the CCP’s brutal persecution and commented that the Communist Party brings disaster everywhere. The couple used to live in East Germany and managed to escape to West Germany during the Cold War. They asked for additional copies of fliers and said that they would distribute the materials to their neighbors.

During these two days, soccer fans in all kinds of clothing were everywhere in the city. A group of German fans patiently listened to a practitioner’s truth-clarification regarding what Falun Gong is and why the practice is being persecuted, as well as the nature of the Communist Party. They then signed their names to support the human rights of practitioners persecuted in China. A group of Polish fans also signed the petition after they learned the truth.

A Chinese man who just came back from China told practitioners his most recent experience: Before he went back to China, he received fliers about the CCP’s atrocities of harvesting organs from living practitioners detained in concentration camps. However, he didn’t believe it. When he went back to China, a close relative who is a doctor told him that many hospitals in his hometown are capable of performing organ transplant operations and they can obtain organs in just a few days. When he went to Tiananmen Square with friends, they were followed by plainclothes policemen as soon as they entered a certain area. He told the practitioners: It is very bad! It is evil! Before he left, he asked for copies of all types of truth-clarifying materials and said that he would study them carefully.

Practitioners’ peaceful exercise demonstration also drew many people’s attention. Now and then, some would ask where they could learn the exercises. After signing the petition, two German ladies had no desire to leave. While watching the demonstration, one of them told a practitioner: "The practice is really good! I love Qigong and had tried a few Qigong classes. However, I like this practice the most." She was very happy to learn that the practice is free of charge and there were local practice sites.

There was a German boy who asked many questions about Falun Gong. Later, he sat down in front of practitioners to learn the meditation. He sat in single-leg folding position for several minutes. Occasionally, he opened his eyes to adjust his posture, imitating the practitioner in front of him.
