Mr. Yao Yaocai, 39 years old, is from Niaowei Village, Guiling Township, Jiedong County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province. At the beginning of December 2000 (by the lunar calendar), he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Later he was returned home by personnel from the Guiling Township government and detained in the Guiling Township Detention Center for half a month. Then his family pieced together 3,600 "yuan" and bailed him out. Thereafter, police officers from the local police station along with cadres from the Guiling Township government and Niaowei Village often visited his home to harass him. Also, they required his family members to report his whereabouts every day. On December 25, 2000, he was forced to leave home and wander about wearing thin clothing and with no money in severe winter. Since then he has been missing.

When he left home, he still had his 73-year-old mother, wife, 7-year-old son, and 5-year-old daughter at home. The personnel from the local government harassed them endlessly. Since his wife was unable to ever see her husband, she remarried under the financial pressure and headed off to distant parts with her children.

Now six years have passed. His relatives have been seeking his whereabouts without any news.

Zhang Chunying, Dafa practitioner from Gaocheng City, Hebei Province, is 42 years old. In 2001 she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and has not returned home yet. Her husband, Li Huaxin and two underage children live a hard life.
