The Dream of a Young Falun Dafa Disciple

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently I became less diligent in my cultivation. I was more relaxed towards Fa study and practicing the exercises. Sometimes, I also neglected sending forth righteous thoughts. My five-year-old son naturally also followed suit and became lazy in cultivation.

One night, my son suddenly woke up and shouted for me to switch on the lights. I switched on the lights and saw a serious look on his childish face. I said. "You had a nightmare again, didn't you?" In the past he frequently had nightmares and usually it was Master who came to save him in his dreams. Below was what my son saw in his dream.

My son told me that in his dream he was playing in the house. He then saw a creature that looked half man and half beast leap towards him in an attempt to grab him. He was so frightened that he shouted for me. But I did not seem to hear. At that moment, he saw Master coming to him on a lotus flower in the air. Master extended both arms and carried him, and slowly they ascended towards the skies. Master pointed at the creature and it immediately disappeared. Then they continued to rise higher. My son said that the skies were beautiful and he saw majestic palaces and pretty fairies. There was also wonderful music and two dragons flying.

Master carried him but did not speak to him. My son knew that he was not diligent in Fa study and practicing the exercises, thus those bad creatures came to scare him. Each time it was Master who exterminated them, and each time Master did not speak to him. Thus my son said to Master, "Your disciple is wrong. In the future I will definitely study the Fa and practice the exercises diligently." At this juncture Master then said, "My child, you must remember that you have come to the human world to cultivate. It is alright to make mistakes but in the future you and your mother must cultivate diligently. Master is waiting for all of you!" My son replied, "I will definitely pay heed to Master's words. Your disciple acknowledges his mistakes." Master said, "It is alright to make mistakes, you still have one more chance, do not miss this chance again!"

After hearing my son relate his dream, I felt extremely terrible. As a result of not being diligent in cultivation, I had let down Master and his compassion. In the future, I will do well the three things, fulfill my vows made before I came here, and be a qualified Falun Dafa practitioner. Lastly I would like to end this article by sharing a poem "Plum Blossoms" from the book, "Hongyin" II.

"In the chaotic world, like a pure lotus flower--
plum blossoms, hundreds of millions
Cold winds only accentuate their beauty
The interminable snowfall and rain
are the tears of gods
Who look longingly for the plum blossoms' return
Never, ever get hung up over worldly things
Steel your righteous thoughts
For all that you have gone through since ancient times
Was for none other than this time around"
