Whereabouts of Practitioner Couple Remain Unknown

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Huimin, 53, is a resident of the Haidian District, Beijing City, and a retiree of the Bejing 507 Institute, which is affiliated with the People's Liberation Army. In March 2003, while the National Congress was in session, Ms. Li was arrested at the hospital where she had been caring for her sick father. During her detention, the authorities forced her to stand for long periods of time and allowed her almost no rest or sleep. Due to the extensive standing, she was unable to bend her legs, walk, or get out of bed on her own. Newly-recruited soldiers had to lift her onto and out of her bed.

On the tenth day of her detention, as Ms. Li's father worried about her situation, his illness worsened and he died.

In September 2003, after six months of detention, she was transferred to the Daxing Forced Labor Camp in Beijing.

In September 2005, after Ms. Li had completed her two-year sentence of forced labor, officials arrested her at her workplace. Her whereabouts remain unknown to this day.

Ms. Li's husband, Xu Qutian, was released after three years of forced labor in Guangzhou City. His whereabouts also remain unknown.

Ms. Li's sister died of cancer after contending with a great deal of anxiety.

Ms. Li's home phone number: 10-63968189
