Practitioner Mr. Zhao Xifa Suffers Edema after Four Months Illegal Detention at Laixi Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Xifa, who is about 60 years old, is from Choujiashuang Village, Wubei Town, Laixi City, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. At around ten o’clock on February 17, 2006, police officers from the Wubei Town Police Station in Laixi City illegally arrested him and ransacked his home, seizing Falun Dafa books and truth-clarification materials.

On the morning of May 31, 2006, Mr. Zhao Xifa was handcuffed and forced to make a court appearance at the Laixi City Court. The Communist party made up some so-called "evidence" to find him "guilty."

Before learning Falun Gong, Mr. Zhao Xifa suffered from many illnesses, including an incurable tumor in his brain. After learning Dafa, his brain tumor disappeared, and all of his illnesses were cured without taking any medicine or spending any money. He was persecuted in the Laixi City Prison for four months just because of his belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance."

On June 1, 2006, Mr. Zhao’s wife received a call from a relative. The police said that Zhao Xifa was ill, and they wanted money to pay the medical bills. On the morning of June 2, Mr. Zhao’s wife went to the police station. Under the surveillance of several police, Mr. Zhao Xifa was finally taken to the Laixi City People’s Hospital for an examination. At that time, Mr. Zhao’s wife saw that his face and other parts of his body, from his legs to his abdomen, were all swollen. The exam alone cost 500 yuan. The police told Mr. Zhao’s wife that Mr. Zhao would have to take another physical exam on June 3.

The Laixi City Prison persecuted two Falun Gong practitioners to death in 2001 and 2002, respectively. One of whom is Mr. Xu Zengliang from Pingdu City, and the other is Mr. Shi Hongjie from Sunjiachen Village, Wubei Town, Laixi City, Shandong Province. Currently, Mr. Zhao Xifa is in an extremely bad state of health due to the persecution. Why do the police still refuse to release him?
