Practitioner Mr. Zhang Guofeng Missing for Five Years

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Guofeng, 43, has been missing since 2001. He was then 38. He lived at No. 327, Gate 9, Building No. 2, the Jiemin District of Changchun City. He was a worker at the Wooden Box Factory of Changchun City. On September 27, 2001, he went to Beijing to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa and has since disappeared.

In early October 2001, two police officers, whose names are unknown, from the Minkang Road Police Station of Changchun City broke into Mr. Zhang’s home and threatened his parents, "Does your son practice Falun Gong? Where did he go? Is there anything related to Falun Gong here?" Afterwards, they ransacked the home but did not find anything.

At the end of October 2001, two police officers from the Nanguan District Police Department of Changchun City again broke into Mr. Zhang’s home, threatened his wife and parents, and interrogated them regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Zhang. Under this pressure, Mr. Zhang’s mother said untruthfully, "My son left home because of a mental disease." Mr. Zhang’s mother signed her name on a document. The police left and never came back.

Later Mr. Zhang’s relatives tried to find him by searching through all of the forced labor camps there, all of which claimed that they never had someone with his name. At home, Mr. Zhang has elderly parents and a 12-year-old daughter. His father is ill and has been waiting for him to return. In order to make a living, his mother is selling ice cream and his wife is doing part-time work. The family is having a hard time making ends meet.
