By a practitioner in the United States

(Clearwisdom.net) In the past few days, I have read some articles from Taiwan practitioners on the Clearwisdom website regarding looking inward at the emotions we all have towards different political parties. Although I am not a Taiwan practitioner, I inspected every single thought and attitude I had on this issue as well. I realized that, only when we look at things from the viewpoint of the Fa, can we soar above the stormy illusionary changes in the ordinary society, and fulfill our historical mission as Dafa practitioners.

If we maintain the viewpoint of ordinary human society, we will inevitably be influenced by the different concepts that we formed throughout the years in the ordinary society. Such as, the social pattern should be this way or that way; the leaders for the country and the party should have certain qualities; such and such historical events should be appraised like this; and so on. Once the expectations of ordinary society occupy prominent positions in one's heart, ones behavior will tend to favor, support and even rely on those individuals (including some political figures), whose concepts are similar to ones own or those who tally ones expectations to the ordinary society. One will feel sick of those individuals whose ideologies do not conform to ones own.

From such a viewpoint, it is also very easy to view the Chinese Communist Party's persecution toward Dafa practitioners as a persecution of human beings toward human beings, and treat the counter-persecution as something to impel social reform. This would lead to a dependent mentality toward the political individuals, by hoping their stance would help our counter-persecution. For those whose behaviors are good, he or she would like them; and for those whose behaviors are not so good, he or she would not like them. He or she has forgotten that the mission of a Dafa practitioner is to help Teacher's Fa rectification and save sentient beings.

As to what human society should be, it would be taken care of during the period of the Fa rectifying the human world. At this time, however, as Dafa practitioners, our most critical responsibility is to clarify the truth, help people see through the lies of the Chinese Communist Party, and give them the opportunity of entering the future and thus be saved. Except for those who have persecuted Dafa directly without repenting and thus can no longer be saved, all others are those who we shall try hard to save. Dafa practitioners shall have great tolerance, which is able to hold various lives, and shall consider others' futures with true compassion. All we do are for sentient beings, not for our own liking.

Some practitioners thought that their attachments to the different political parties or groups come from the influences of the news media such as the television and newspaper, etc. They thus plan to stop watching TV and reading newspapers. In this way, they have not fundamentally improved their understandings. We remove attachments so as to better save sentient beings. Therefore, we must change our ordinary people's thinking completely, and treat all matters from the viewpoint of the Fa. Once we correct our viewpoint, the fundamental nature of every stormy change in the society will be clear, and nothing is worthy of being attached to.
