United Kingdom: MP Eric Illsley Condemns CCP Atrocities
(Clearwisdom.net) On May 10, 2006, United Kingdom MP
Eric Illsley wrote a letter to a Falun Gong practitioner in condemnation of CCP
atrocities. Below is the text of the letter. Eric Illsley MP House of Commons 10th May 2006 Dear Mr. Yang, Thank you for your letter of 18th April 2006
concerning organ trade in China. Please accept my apologies for not replying
sooner. I am aware of this issue having read a number of articles
dealing with the subject including those which highlighted representations made
to the Chinese government by leading surgeons in Europe. I am entirely in agreement that the practice of organ
harvesting from prisoners is to be wholly condemned. It would be an incredible
abuse of human rights if it proves to be true and unfortunately such is the
growing evidence that at this stage we have to assume it is true. The issue was raised in the House of Commons recently during
Foreign and Commonwealth Office Question Time. I enclose a copy of Hansard for
that day. You will note that the matter has been raised by ministers with
Vice-Foreign Minister, Zhang Yesui, just last month and that the government will
continue to express concern about human rights and organ harvesting in China. I hope this reply reassures you that this matter is being
addressed. Yours sincerely, Eric Illsley MP
