(Clearwisdom.net) On December 20, 2005, 29 Dafa practitioners were illegally arrested in Changde City and their Dafa truth-clarification materials production site was destroyed. Officers from the Wuling District Police Department in Changde City arrested the practitioners and held them at the No. 1 Detention Center in Changde City, at the No. 2 Detention Center of Changde City, in the Dingcheng District Detention Center in Changde City, the Li County Detention Center, the Jin City Detention Center and also the Taoyuan County Detention Center, among other places. The persecutors tried to obtain more "evidence" through interrogation.

On April 21, 2006, the Wuling District Procuratorate in Changde City issued a citation statement. In this statement the officials falsely accused Dafa practitioners, who follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, of being "members of a criminal gang." The accused practitioners are Guo Zhaoqing, Yin Hong, Wang Xiaoqun, Yang Bin, Zhang Chuntao, Shi Yuhua, He Silian, Yang Dongzhi and Xiong Bifang. They singled out Dafa practitioner Guo Zhaoqing from Yiyang who had gone into exile to avoid persecution as the "head perpetrator."

Guo Zhaoqing had been holding a hunger strike since his arrest to protest the illegal detention, and escaped from the Li County Hospital on April 23, 2006 with the power of righteous thoughts. The police immediately issued a public "wanted " notice for Guo Zhaoqing. On April 28, agents from the Wuling District Procuratorate issued another Statement of Claim under the same number as the previous one, in which they deleted the sections involving Guo Zhaoqing. In this newly-released statement, they groundlessly charged the other eight practitioners. They accused the practitioners of violating Article 300 of the Criminal Law Code because they made and disseminated truth clarification materials, which constitutes "using a [slanderous term omitted] to disrupt the administration of law." They named seven practitioners aside from Xiong Bifang as "ringleaders of a criminal group" and plotted heavy sentences for them.

All eight practitioners have been persecuted (see information following this article) by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for persisting in their Falun Gong practice, upholding their belief and for clarifying the truth to people. They have experienced all kinds of tribulations but remained determined. They hope to awaken each person deceived by the CCP's lies with their pure and kind hearts.

With their adherence to wicked Party doctrines, these Wuling District Police Department agents in Changde City and those from the Wuling District Procuratorate enthusiastically followed the persecution policies and fabricated charges against Falun Gong practitioners, calling them "members of a criminal gang." We urgently call for all kind people in the world to extend a helping hand! Together we can rescue the innocent Falun Gong practitioners in Changde City who are being persecuted; let's help them regain their freedom and reunite them with their families!

Ms. Yin Hong, 34 years old, lived at No. 4, Floor 1, Building 2-11, the Ziqiao District, Changde City. She was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor in May 2002 and is now being held at the No. 1 Detention Center in Changde City.

Ms. Wang Xiaoqun, 56 years old, lived at No. 8, Floor 3, Building 8, No. 99 Wujiaohua Dormitory, East Jianshe Road, Changde City. She was sentenced to two years of forced labor in November 2000 and is now being held at the No. 2 Detention Center in Changde City.

Mr. Yang Bin, 46 years old, lived in the Changde City Commerce Bureau dormitory on East Jianshe Road in Changde City. He was detained for 15 days in September 2002 and is now being held at the No. 1 Detention Center in Changde City.

Ms. Zhang Chuntao, also called Zhang Yaomei, 57 years old, lived in Group 6, Tangjiarong Village, Dongjiao Township, Wuling District, Changde City. She was sentenced to one-and-a-half years of forced labor in November 2002. The officials monitored her residence in violation of the law. She is now being held at the No. 1 Detention Center in Changde City

Ms. Shi Yuhua, 36 years old, lived in Group 5 in Tangjiarong Village, Dongjiao Township, Wuling District, Changde City. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor in November 2000 and escaped with the power of righteous thoughts after her May 2005 arrest. She is now being held at the Jin City Detention Center and is holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

Ms. He Silian, 42 years old, lived at Group 6, Fuhua Village, Jinggang Town, Huarong County. She is now being held at the Dingcheng District Detention Center in Changde City.

Ms. Yang Dongzhi, 71 years old, lived at Group 6, Tangjiarong Village, Dongjiao Township, Wuling District, Changde City. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor in November 2002. The officials monitored her residence in May 2005 violation of the law, but she escaped later with the power of righteous thoughts. She is now being held at the Taoyuan County Detention Center.

Ms. Xiong Bifang, 65 years old, lived at Building 5 in the Wujiaohua Dormitory on East Jianshe Road in Changde City. She was sentenced to one-and-a-half years of forced labor in November 2000 and was released on medical parole in February 2006.

Ms. Guo Zhaoqing, 34 years old, lived at No. 4 North Kangfu Road in Yiyang City. She was sentenced to two years of forced labor in January 2001 but escaped with the power of righteous thoughts after her June 2004 arrest. The persecutors have issued a reward notice for his capture.

Other Dafa practitioners who were recently persecuted in Changde City: Yi Zhongqing, Wu Daolian, Jian Qiuying, Wen Xiaoli, Wang Xiaolin, Jiang Minqing, Huang Guihua and Xu Qiuzhen; were arrested on July 4, 2005 and have been sentenced to prison.
