Short Stories of Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts and Actions

Not long ago, a practitioner met practitioner "B" in her hometown. She told her a story of using righteous thoughts to leave the local detention center. At that time she thought, since the evil had taken advantage of the loopholes, she should walk rightly the rest of her path, use righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil, and not ever cooperate with the evil. The police first attempted to extort several thousand yuan from her. Immediately she firmly resisted, and peacefully told the police the truth about Dafa. The police retreated and asked for half of the initial amount. She said, "Even handing over a cent would be unreasonable. First you must unconditionally send me home!" Later, the police persecuted her through forced labor. She remembered Master’s instruction, "When you have fear, It will interfere; When your thoughts are righteous, All evils disintegrate." ("What to Be Afraid Of" from Hong Yin II, provisional translation subject to improvement) She sent forth righteous thoughts every hour (sometimes even continuously for 16 to 17 hours uninterrupted) to disintegrate the evil factors. The police retreated again, assigning her very little work. As a result, she had more opportunities to meet with other people who were detained, clarify the truth to them, and urge them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Many people became aware of the truth. They saw through her a testament of the wonder of Dafa. Two individuals announced their withdrawal from the CCP and its associated organizations, and expressed that they wanted to practice Dafa. The police had no other choice but to quickly send the practitioner home.

Dafa disciple "C" lives in the suburbs and works a day job (with the farmland occupied, he depends on his day job to support the family). He returns home every night, does the three things, and is very diligent in his cultivation. The local police persecuted him, but through righteous belief in Master and the Fa, he walked out of the detention center. The local police and officials declared to catch and sentence him, harassing him many times. Neighbors urged him to leave home and hide, but he did not let that alter his conviction. He believed "...the Fa can destroy all evil..." ("Drive Out Interference" from Essentials for Further Advancement II). He did not need to hide. When conversing with other practitioners, he often said, "With Master and the Fa, what is there to fear!" He takes hardship as joy. Even though his family situation is impoverished, he is nonetheless cheerful. He does local Fa-validation work and urges people to quit the CCP. Several years have passed, and the evil has not dared to disturb him again.

One older practitioner, "D" is not literate, but can read Zhuan Falun smoothly. She says that after she reads one line of characters each day, the next line of characters will appear. She understands it as Master encouraging her to cultivate diligently.

She previously exhibited poor speech patterns. Other practitioners have pointed this out to her many times, but she was either too careless or it was too difficult to change, and this affected her results during truth clarification. Later when she saw the lecture on "Minding Your Speech" in Zhuan Falun, every time she read the Chinese character for "mouth" it would "close" into a line. She realized that Master was hinting for her to cultivate her speech patterns. When she thought of this, the "mouth" characters that she read opened to their normal appearances again. Other practitioners now say that she is minding her speech and advancing very quickly in cultivation.

Because she went to Beijing to validate the Fa, the local police persecuted her frequently. One time the police wanted to arrest her and knocked on her door. Upon seeing the police, she immediately sat down to send forth righteous thoughts, reciting non-stop "The Fa rectifies the cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated." The police were effectively prevented from entering the door. They said in a self-ridiculing way, "This is a silly woman," and left. Of course, who’s really smart and who’s really silly is known not by man but by the heavens.

When this Dafa disciple has time, she goes out to clarify the truth. Her thoughts are pure when urging people to quit the CCP and its associated organizations. In most cases she only needs to say a few words to affect people’s minds. On the street, at neighbor’s homes, or at the market, she saves countless people. Her only goal is to wholeheartedly save each person.

One evening, she found out another practitioner needed a batch of truth-clarification materials right away. The agreement was for her to drop it off at a specified location. When she just got on the road, she looked up and found two police cars parked up front. The thought of "first hide somewhere" entered into her head, but she immediately remembered Master’s lecture on the story of Sakyamuni taking a bath. Master said, "...we can’t stop taking baths because of insects..." ("The Seventh Talk" from Zhuan Falun) This made her develop righteous thoughts. Interference caused by the evil should not hinder the salvation of sentient beings. She walked on calmly and promptly delivered the materials to the other practitioner. Later she told the other practitioner that she clearly saw a group of celestial beings descending from the sky that night when she slept. They were all holding hands and smiling as they approached her. She understood this as Master encouraging her. Their holding hands hinted for her to coordinate well with other practitioners. That way, the results of validating the Fa will be better.

Dafa disciple "A" living in a rural area spoke with fellow practitioners about something that happened during the Lunar New Year. She feels that maybe it was arranged. Just days before the New Year, her daughter (who does not yet cultivate) was noisy and irritable, causing a ruckus and wanting to drive her out. Through another practitioner’s introduction, practitioner "A" went to an older sister’s house. The older sister is also a practitioner, but has been stuck at her level for a long time. She experienced diseases and needed someone to help with the housework. Practitioner "A" went there to help out. The older sister was very excited to see her come, and let her stay for the New Year. By staying, she had the opportunity to share cultivation experiences in detail. She described the recent years of cultivation in the Fa-rectification period. The older sister listened intently and became ashamed the more she listened. When told that the benevolent Master is waiting for her, this veteran practitioner who had fallen behind for many years could not stop crying. She was very, very sad and was determined to start cultivation again, and cherish Master’s benevolent hopes. Practitioner "A" was also moved and tears rolled down her face. Suddenly, she saw the older sister sitting on a beautiful lotus flower throne crowded around by multitudinous small Buddhas! She understood this as Master’s encouragement and that this older sister has a great predestined relationship with Dafa. This is Master’s hint that she and the older sister should cultivate diligently together.
