Taiwan: 2006 Minghui School Summer Camp Held in Shu-lin City, Taipei County (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Shu-lin Minghui School was founded in Shu-lin City, Taipei County in 2006. Shu-lin Minghui School held a two-day long summer camp in July. Many young practitioners from Taipei County attended the summer camp. The youngest ones are still in kindergarten. Some of them had never read Zhuan Falun, but they were very serious when reading the Fa together.

Besides studying the Fa, the young practitioners also watched four movies, "The Little Candle," "Prehistoric Culture," "The Story of the Red-eyed Stone Lion" and "Cangjie’s Tear."

From the movie, "The Little Candle," the young practitioners learned that the little candle sacrifices himself to illuminate the world, which is the purpose of his life. What is the purpose of human life then? It is to go back to one’s true self. Once one finds out the purpose of life, he will be as happy as the little candle.

Doing the exercises

From the movie "Prehistoric Culture," young practitioners learned that there existed more than one period of civilization before our civilization.

From the story of the red-eyed stone lion, young practitioners learned that Falun Gong practitioners’ clarifying the truth and spreading the "Nine Commentaries on Communist Party" is to save people so that they won’t be eliminated along with the CCP.

Making paper cranes

In the summer camp, young practitioners also learned how to make paper lotus flowers, paper cranes and paper stars. The practitioners will give the paper lotuses flowers with bookmarks to people so that they will remember, "Falun Dafa is good."

In the summer camp, there were some conflicts between young practitioners. But since everybody tries to obey the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and always looks inward, the conflicts were resolved, with young practitioners apologizing to each other.

When making the paper stars, young practitioners wrote down their own attachments on a piece of paper and folded it into a star. They made the agreement that they would open the stars in the second summer camp, which will be held at the end of this month, and see if they got rid of the attachments or not.

Making dessert together

Young practitioners learned how to make dessert too. Even this is also a process of cultivation. When others and you want to use a certain tool at same time, you are facing the test of whether you can consider others first or not.

Doing the exercises in the park, spreading the Fa to the public

Young practitioners watched Master Li’s lectures, learned the Falun Gong exercises, and did the exercises in the park. They brought the beauty of Falun Dafa to the public.

Everybody benefited a lot from the two-day summer camp. The young practitioners promised each other to meet at the next summer camp again.
