President of "Hong Kong Residents Supporting China Democratic Movement Union" Calls on Local People not to Receive Unlawful Organ Transplants in China
(Clearwisdom.net) Canadian "Independent Investigation Team on
Live Organ Removal" issued a report in Hong Kong on Sunday saying that
there are unlawful live organ sources originating in China. Mr. Szeto Wah,
president of the Hong Kong Residents Supporting China Democratic Movement
Union, said that live organ transplantation and trade is too barbaric. He
urged residents not to go to mainland China for organ transplants. Radio Free Asia reported on July 17 that an independent investigation team
consisting of international human rights lawyer David Matas, and David Kilgour,
former Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific) for Canada issued a report under the
invitation of Ho Chun Yan, member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council and Szeto
Wah, president of the Hong Kong Residents Supporting China Democratic
Movement Union. The investigation report pointed out that based on investigations there was a
large unlawful live organ source. Mr. Matas said that because of easy
degeneration of organs, low matching rates for organs, and short waiting times
for organ transplants in China, much shorter than other countries, a large
number of people must be available to provide the organs. The organ sources
includes inmates, imprisoned minorities and Falun Gong practitioners. The report
stated that there was evidence of live organ trade. Szeto Wah said in an interview that if the CCP regime continuously denies
live organ transplantation, it should allow investigation teams to collect
evidence in China. Otherwise the CCP's denials only mean that it is afraid of
exposing the facts. |
