(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong has lasted nearly seven years. Shortly before July 20, 2006, five members of Canada's Parliament, representing three parties, strongly condemned the CCP's harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Gong practitioners from Canada rallied in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Ottawa to protest the CCP's atrocity and call for the end to the persecution.

Signing names to support the anti-persecution petition

On July 15, 2006, practitioners from Montreal and Ottawa rallied in front of the Parliament building to "clarify truth" and protest the seven-year-long persecution of Falun Gong in China. Former diplomat and Chinese expert Brain McAdam attended the rally in person.

After an independent investigation report was published, five members of Parliament wrote letters to the Canada Falun Dafa Association expressing their support. They were: Nina Grewal with the Conservative Party, Stephen Owen with the Liberty Party, and Bill Siksay, Olivia Chow, and Wayne Marston with the New Democratic Party.

Brian McAdam analyzed why the Chinese Communist Party harvests Falun Gong practitioners' organs. First, money and second, the Communist Party doesn't view Falun Gong practitioners as human beings. The Party has used similar methods to eliminate dissidents in the past.

He said, "Historically, when Communist authorities want to eliminate dissidents, they declare the suppressed people no longer human beings. From this standpoint they can treat those they are suppressing like Hitler did the Jews, using any methods they choose. Torture them, confiscate their properties, etc. From when it did this to the landlords during the land reform movement to present, their tactics have not changed."

McAdam confirmed the independent investigation report and said he had no question about its being 100 percent accurate.

Re-enactment of Chinese Communist Party's organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners

Falun Gong practitioners from Ottawa and Montreal used many methods to let people know how the group is being persecuted in China, including staging a re-enactment of the CCP's organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. Their displays attracted many visitors.

President of the Canadian Falun Gong Association Mr. Li Xun said that the independent investigation report confirmed the fact that the Chinese Communist Party is excising vital organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. This will lead to the disintegration of the Communist Party from two sides. First, the Chinese people will re-think the Communist Party's persecution of its own people in the past decades, recognize its evil nature, and realize that the only hope for China is to 'say goodbye to the Communist Party and disintegrate it.' From the other side, although Canada will continue be an ally, Canada and the international community will recognize the Communist Party's evil nature and form a global force of justice to condemn the CCP.

Some passersby said they couldn't tolerate such crimes as those of the Chinese Communist Party's harvesting vital organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. One lady from Winneburg said, "I can no longer ignore the existence of injustice and evil in the world. I want to do my best to stop the evil."
