With Firm Righteous Thoughts, One Can Overcome Any Obstacle

(Clearwisdom.net) Around 9:00 a.m. on April 20, 2006, I was studying the Fa at home when I heard a knock at the door. As soon as I opened the door, the County 610 Office head Yang and five other policemen rushed into my home and confiscated Teacher’s portrait and a copy of Zhuan Falun. I solemnly said, "These are my personal belongings, you cannot touch them." Yang said to his men sarcastically, "Don’t touch her things." Then he instructed the policemen to search in my drawers and cabinets and they found two truth-clarifying fliers and some money. They counted the money that added up to ten thousand four hundred yuan. They then told me to go to the police department and defend myself. After arriving at the police department, they put me in the detention center without any reason.

At the detention center, I did not cooperate with the evil; I refused to wear the prisoners’ uniform, did not say "report" when going in and out of the doors, did not report my number, etc. Whenever someone testified against me, I would take the opportunity the clarify the truth to them: "We are a group of kind people who are being persecuted. The practice of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is not wrong. It is illegal to detain us!" Hearing me, the guards and my drug addict cell mates dared not touch me. Taking advantage of this environment, I did the Falun Gong exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts daily.

After a few days, county 610 Office head Yang and his assistant brought a fine slip for one thousand yuan and demanded that I sign it. I said firmly, "You are asking for money while I am still detained; you are really obsessed with money!" After my response, they left without gaining anything.

On May 5, after being illegally detained for sixteen days, a fellow practitioner and I were released from the detention center. There were about twenty practitioners who greeted us outside. All of us shouted at the gate of the detention center: "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" Our righteous voices amazed the passers-by on the street and also shocked the evil.

Through studying the Fa and Minghui Weekly (Minghui is the Chinese version of Clearwisdom) and sharing thoughts with my fellow practitioners, I found my shortcomings. I realized I needed to do things over in areas that I had not done well; this is cultivation. So, I asked a fellow practitioner to go to the police department with me while other practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts at home to support us.

When we walked into the police department, the 610 office head threatened my fellow practitioner and me. I calmly said, "The money you took is from my savings from working many years at a small business; this is my retirement money. You have no right to take my hard-earned money." After discussing among themselves for a while, they gave me back my money, but kept a thousand yuan. Before I walked out the door, I said, "This is not over, I will come back and get my one thousand yuan back."

After this incident, I understood the power of Master’s words from Hong Yin II:

As long as I firmly believe that Master and the Fa are with me, there is nothing that I cannot overcome on the path of cultivation.
