Several hundred Falun Gong practitioners gathered in Ikebukuro Park, Tokyo. They held banners worded, "Stop the persecution against Falun Gong," "Canadian VIPs verify the fact of the CCP's live organ removal," "Live organ removal ¡V CCP's barbaric nature," "Falun Dafa is good" and "The world needs Truth-Compassion-Tolerance."

Mr. Tsuruzono Masaaki of the Falun Dafa Association Japan, Ms. Yoko Kaneko and Mr. Kunio Sato gave speeches at the rally.

Mr. Masaaki said, "It has been seven years since July 20, 1999, when the CCP initiated the persecution against Falun Gong. The persecution is ongoing. So far. nearly 3,000 deaths of practitioners due to police violence have been documented. The actual number could be much higher. We hope that all circles in Japan will learns the facts, and that everyone pays attention to and supports the effort to stop the persecution. From July 20 to 25, there will be photo and drawing exhibition entitled, 'Chinese Human Rights Violation,' in the Tokyo Capital Council hosted by a Tokyo Capital Council member. Everyone is welcome to see it and learn the facts of the persecution."

Practitioner Ms. Yoko Kaneko went back to China to visit her family in 2002. She was illegally detained for one and a half years for distributing truth-clarification flyers. Ms. Kaneko said, "I am a victim and witness of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. I know very well about the CCP's barbarity. I recall that in October 2002, in the first year that I was sent to the forced labor camp, the camp conducted a physical examination of all Falun Gong practitioners. Everyone was surprised because the CCP had adopted the policy, 'ruin [practitioners'] reputations, bankrupt [practitioners] financially, and destroy [practitioners] physically.' After the exposure of the Sujiatun camp [where Falun Gong practitioners were held in order to have their organs removed for the organ transplant trade], I became certain that the camp was preparing to seize practitioners' vital organs. Without everyone's rescue, I might have been one of the practitioners subjected to live organ removal. The CCP's live organ removal is inhuman and is a challenge to mankind's morality. I call on all circles, all people, and all practitioners to work together to end the persecution."

The march started from Ikebukuro Park and last for more than two hours. The participants held banners and large photos of those practitioners tortured to death in China. They called out their message and distributed flyers along the route.

It was a hot day. The participants included elderly people and small children. A Japanese practitioner said, "I distributed flyers during the march. More people accepted flyers than before. I could feel that people were eager to learn the facts. Many people encouraged us." Another practitioner had the same feeling and said he would be more active in explaining the facts.
