(Clearwisdom.net) Before I wrote this article, I didn't do the three things very well. I only wanted to share my shallow understanding of Teacher's "Teaching the Fa in Canada, 2006." If there is anything wrong with my understanding, please kindly let me know.

In "Teaching the Fa in Canada, 2006", Teacher said,

"A god wouldn't pay any heed to what a human being said about him--you can't affect him. He wouldn't in the least try to figure out how what you do relates to him. He pays no attention at all, because you cannot affect him. Gods can control the human mind and lead humans to do certain things, not vice versa. How could human beings possibly affect gods? So if you wish to become a divine being, don't you yourself have to be that way? Don't you have to let go of those attachments? And don't you have to let go of those feelings of yours that can be stirred up by human beings?"

In my opinion, with the constant acceleration of the Fa-rectification process and Teacher's requirements of practitioners at different levels, we indeed should get rid of the influence of different kinds of human attachments. In Zhuan Falun Teacher said,

"Whether it is a Buddha, a Tao, an immortal, or a demon, they should not move your heart. In conducting oneself this way, success is bound to be in sight."

My understanding is that as long as we are not moved by human attachments and our hearts are never affected, we are validating the Fa. Only in this way can we effectively save sentient beings better. Of course Teacher also said that "A person's every thought is built on a long period of cultivation." ("Teaching the Fa in New York City", 1997) I think that if we get to this point first, gradually we will do everything up to the standard.

In the past, whenever I was studying the Fa or sending righteous thoughts, I became sleepy. I behaved really badly. A few days ago several Dafa practitioners from other places were arrested by police when they were distributing Dafa truth-clarification materials. I was on the spot, too. Less than three minutes after we arrived, several policeman arrived and they started pointing at the box of our materials and insisting that we open it. One fellow practitioner was arguing with one of them, but they insisted that the box had to be opened. At that moment I was right beside them with another fellow practitioner. I knew everyone was sending righteous thoughts at that moment. However, I didn't feel that the righteous thoughts that I was sending were strong. I felt I could do nothing.

Later, I went to somebody's house with another fellow practitioner. We wanted to send forth righteous thoughts there, but the landlord spotted us only a few minutes later. We began at that point to clarify the truth to him. Within 10 minutes of this incident, five fellow practitioners were arrested and all their materials were ransacked. Sad and disappointed, I went home.

After going back home, I studied the Fa, looked inward, shared my experience with other practitioners and adjusted myself. Then I understood why only three policemen caused us such a great loss. We were all frightened of being exposed with such a big pile of Dafa materials and were stirred up by the police's presence. I had followed a bad way of thinking If I had the right understanding, I wouldn't have been be affected by them or followed their way of thinking. Dafa materials are for saving sentient beings, and distributing them is an upright act. Just like what Teacher said,

"Gods can control the human mind and lead humans to do certain things, not vice versa. How could human beings possibly affect gods?" ("Teaching the Fa in Canada", 2006 )

If we didn't allow the box to be opened, surely it would not be opened. If our righteous thoughts had been strong enough, the results would have been different for sure. There are too many lessons as hard as this one. We let our Teacher down too many times. I'm not afraid of being laughed at by fellow practitioners. I only hope that fellow practitioners can learn from this lesson and study the Fa more, and truly cultivate themselves. Let their mighty power come forth, so as to save sentient beings more effectively.

Here I have another understanding which I would like to share with fellow practitioners. Through this incident, I understand that we should improve as a whole. We should understand clearly what attachments we should get rid of in order to let our mighty power come forth. We should use this opportunity to tell others the facts about Falun Dafa and save sentient beings, while at the same time we should try to rescue our fellow practitioners and recover all of our stolen materials, as soon as possible. This time our fellow practitioners were illegally arrested. We should persevere in doing in the three things well, especially now that our Teacher's new lecture "Teaching the Fa in Canada, 2006" was published. Isn't it true that we should regard every good or bad thing that we encounter in an upright way? Isn't it also true that we should eliminate our old way of thinking, ideas and logic, and take this incident as an opportunity to clarify the truth to other people and save sentient beings? If we can be righteous in whatever we do, our fellow practitioners will be released and all the Dafa materials will be returned to us. Let us not be blocked by human hearts and the concepts formed during persecution. Along with the elimination of the evil, the awareness of sentient beings is constantly improving and the progress of the Fa-rectification is accelerating; everything is changing.

Though I didn't do well this time, Teacher benevolently enlightened me to this point. I've been practicing all these years and going through ups and downs. Isn't it true that during this process I was continually letting go of my attachments and saving sentient beings, while also cultivating myself? At critical moments we cannot be affected by any human attachment. My understanding is that practitioners, especially those who are under the so-called surveillance of the evil, must study the Fa more often and send righteous thoughts more often. They must try their best to do the three things well. No matter what they hear, see, or encounter, they should not follow the way of thinking of the old forces and should not be moved by anything. Only at these moments can we command other people at any time and get control over all unrighteous factors. What's more, Dafa practitioners are beings who are walking towards divinity. No matter where we go, there are always sentient beings that should be saved by us. Any evil that enters the field of Dafa practitioners should either be eliminated or forced to flee. At the surface level, we should pay attention to safety and think of the overall situation and fellow practitioners. But, we can't go to extremes in that either, to the point where we forget that we are practitioners with supernormal abilities granted by Master. After all, my understanding is that only when the mighty power of every part of us comes forth, can we do everything well and save more and more sentient beings. Only in this way, can we walk our path in the future better and better, not let our Teacher down, and be worthy of Teacher's immense suffering on our behalf.
