Five Older Falun Dafa Practitioners in Heilongjiang Province, Shandong Province, Liaoning Province and Beijing Pass Away As a Result of Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Guilan, 75 years old, lived on Jianzhu Street, in Dongli District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. She started practicing Dafa in 1995 and was cured of numerous illnesses through Dafa practice. Her face became rosy and smooth, and her wrinkles disappeared. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Yang Guilan joined a group of Dafa practitioners who went to the provincial government to appeal and to clarify the truth about Dafa. The local police ransacked her home the next day. They took her and her husband to the police department where they threatened and intimidated her by saying, "Both of you are contact persons at Falun Gong practice sites. We'll send you away if you don't give up your belief!" The couple was later released, but the police and 610 Office agents monitored and constantly harassed them at home. The wicked party Political and Judiciary Committee secretary frequently threatened them at their home. Yang Guilan lived under tremendous pressure for a long time. She passed away on April 8, 2006.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Zhenxiang, 63, lived in Daliushu Village, Fushan Town, Weicheng District, Weifang City, Shandong Province. She was persecuted, threatened, and extorted out of money in the guise of a fine. Party officials from Fushan Town, who now work in Daliushu Town, also harassed her. They extorted money many times, ranging from 20 yuan to 74 yuan to 500 yuan and up to 2,000 yuan. Lawless official Jiang Ningchen led a group of people to ransack her home and confiscate her cassette player. They took Ms. Liu to the town government and held her there for one day and one night. She was threatened and intimidated and was thus mentally traumatized. She developed symptoms of severe illness and passed away in March 2005.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Chong, 82, lived on Xingda Street, Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province. He once suffered from numerous illnesses and was forced to retire early. He started practicing Dafa in 1995 and cultivated himself according to "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and all of his illnesses disappeared. Most of his family started practicing Dafa due to his influence and example. After the brutal persecution against Dafa began, Liu Chong, his son, daughter-in-law and son-in-law were taken to the Zhuanghe Police Department. Liu Chong suffered a relapse of his old illness and was released on medical parole. On so-called sensitive dates, Street Committee officials, agents from the police department and from his place of employment often harassed Liu Chong at home. His youngest son was laid off from his job for refusing to relinquish Dafa practice and was given a scant amount of severance pay. Liu Chong passed away on April 25, 2006, from effects of the cruel persecution.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Lu Zhenxue, 86, started practicing Dafa in 1996. The practice cured all his illnesses. After the persecution began, officials from Yang Guilan's place of work harassed him at home several times. They also made death threats, which severely disrupted Lu Zhenxue's Dafa practice. He passed away in December 2005.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhou Xiuzhen, 66, lived in suburban Beijing. She started practicing Dafa in 1997 and rapidly improved her xinxing. She was cured of many ailments, including high blood pressure and heart disease. When the lawless officials began persecuting Dafa in 1999, Ms. Zhou spoke the truth about Dafa. The Party officials then illegally arrested her more than ten times and sent her to custody centers and labor camps. She was physically and mentally injured from long-term persecution. Ms. Zhou suffered a sudden brain hemorrhage on May 25, 2006 and passed away on May 28.
