Driver of Car Becomes Speechless After Experiencing Practitioner’s High Morality

Ms. Bai Suzhen is a Dafa practitioner from Beizhen, Liaoning Province. In October 2005, she was hit by a car driven by Zhang Lin from Linghai city. Ms. Bai’s skull was fractured in the accident. The injury affected her meninges and she was in critical condition. Normally, it would take two surgeries to treat such a severe injury and the medical expense would be around 70-80 thousand yuan. Adding to other costs, the total expenditure would be around 100 thousand yuan. However, Ms. Bai only had one surgery and stayed in the hospital for five days. When she was discharged the total cost was 9700 yuan.

Before Ms. Bai left the hospital, Zhang Lin, the driver of the car that hit her, came to visit and expressed his wish to pay her some money to offset her expenses.

Ms. Bai said, "I am a Falun Gong practitioner and I won’t take a penny from you. Rest assured I am fine now. It’s not easy for you to earn your money. You should pay more attention to safety when driving in the future."

Zhang Lin was so moved that he was speechless. Other people present were also very moved. The doctors were surprised that she recovered so quickly as others might have died from such an accident.

Zhang Lin’s fellow drivers said, "If [Zhang] hit other people, he would have had to spend over 100,000 yuan to get things settled. But this Falun Gong [practitioner] asks for nothing. She is a good person. We heard she was once arrested and sent to a labor camp because she practiced Falun Gong. This is so unreasonable. Such good people are persecuted. Is there any justice in this country?"

Lost Money Returned

Below is a true story that I personally experienced. Through this incident, I developed a new understanding of Falun Gong and came to realize that the Chinese media have deceived us for so many years.

I am a kindergarten school teacher in a remote rural area. In order to buy toys and books for the school children, I needed to go to the country. I got up early to catch the bus one day but unfortunately I missed it. It only runs once each day to and from the countryside.

Having missed my bus, I had to take a taxi. After a while, a taxi came and I waved it to stop. The driver was very nice and he asked me to close the door before he drove off. On the way he talked to another passenger in his car about the staged self-immolation incident and his own experiences of practicing Falun Gong.

Since I was in a hurry to get to the country to buy things, I did not pay much attention to his conversation with the other passenger. After he dropped me off at my destination, I took out some money to pay the fee. To my surprise, he did not accept my money and reminded me not to forget any of my personal belongings in his car. I was very grateful and thought he was such a nice person.

It took me quite a while to select the books and toys I wanted. Afterwards, the owner wrapped up my items and I was ready to pay. However, when I looked for my wallet, I found it was gone. I was very upset. I had to run to borrow money from somebody I knew who lives in the area.

It’s not easy to make a living in the rural area. After my husband found out I lost several hundred yuan, he was very angry at me. As a result, I cried hard. I thought I was really out of luck.

However, several days later I got a phone call from the village government asking me to go there and pick up the money I lost. I couldn’t believe what happened. How could it be possible that someone who picked up my money returned it to me without knowing my phone number and address?

When my husband and I arrived at the village government office, we found the driver who gave me a ride. He told me that he found 570 yuan in his car the day after he had given me a ride. He called everyone who took his taxi the day before and later confirmed the money must be mine. He didn’t know my contact information, but he knew I was a kindergarten school teacher, so he went to the place where he picked me up to ask around. In the end, he was able to find my contact information. After learning what happened, I was extremely moved. I can’t believe you can still find such good people nowadays. We wanted to treat him to a meal to show our appreciation, but he declined our invitation. I then bought him a pack of cigarettes, but he refused to take it. He said it’s no big deal he returned my money and anyone who practices Falun Gong would do the same thing.

I did not know much about Falun Gong in the past and I also believed what was said on TV. Through my personal experience, I truly realize how good Falun Gong is. The Chinese media are full of lies.
