Looking Within Is Also Eliminating the Old Forces

(Clearwisdom.net) Since the evil started persecuting Falun Dafa and its practitioners, I have been sending forth righteous thoughts to completely negate the old forces’ arrangements. In daily cultivation practice, I’ve also constantly sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the old forces. However, I have not attentively thought about what the old forces actually are, how to negate them, what the principles of the old universe are, and what the interfering elements are. Therefore, negating the old forces had become just a slogan for me. Although every time a tribulation came I sent forth righteous thoughts to clear away all the evil dark minions and rotten demons persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners, I seldom thought about what the evil elements behind the persecution were.

It wasn’t until the day when a fellow practitioner reminded me that I couldn’t let go of self that I started to examine my shortcomings by looking inward.

After I found my shortcomings and improved my understanding of the Fa, I suddenly saw it in a clear light. I came to understand that in cultivation practice, only when one has found the elements that have caused the old forces’ persecution can one completely negate the old forces. In my humble opinion, sometimes when we send forth righteous thoughts, if we overlook looking inward, then we can only clear away the evil on the surface. But in fact the old forces’ interfering elements are still alive in Dafa practitioners’ thoughts, so they could still interfere with and persecute practitioners. To draw an analogy, it’s like trying to cure an illness by only treating its symptoms and not touching the root cause.

In the past, as soon as a fellow practitioner was illegally arrested, my distorted notion would make me first wonder what omission the person had, how the person got arrested, whether or not the police had found truth-clarification materials in the practitioner's home, or if there were any computers or printing machines found. As if everything the practitioners had been doing to save sentient beings had violated the laws made by the CCP! In essence I was restrained by the CCP’s evil party culture: "As soon as the police find Dafa materials at your home you will suffer persecution, and it goes without saying that you will be sentenced to forced labor or imprisonment." I had given the evil another excuse to persecute practitioners. I would have some confidence if practitioners were detained at a detention center, but for those detained in labor camps I couldn’t help developing a helpless and passive attitude. I would think it was "all over" if the person was sentenced to prison, but if the person was sent to a labor camp it could still be considered a conflict "within the people" and the person would still have a job when he or she was released (In the CCP system, an employer controls every aspect of an individual's life, including marriage, housing, and number of children--Translator) Practitioners sent to prison would lose their jobs, and after being released they had no hope of getting another job. Thinking this way, I would even reduce the frequency of sending forth righteous thoughts. I would follow the old forces’ arrangements step by step without knowing it.

I have now realized that, in the process of negating the old forces, I didn’t view all of what I had been doing to save sentient beings—such as distributing truth-clarification materials, telling people about the three-withdrawals, and setting up material production sites—as the most righteous and most sacred things in the entire universe. Now I understand that, since there’s nothing wrong with cultivating "Truthfulness-Compassion -Tolerance," then there’s nothing wrong with all that Dafa practitioners have been doing to save sentient beings. Even though some efforts may not be 100 percent perfect during the process, at least we should have 100 percent faith in Teacher and Dafa. Teacher is the most righteous, and Dafa is the most righteous. Everything the evil has done to Dafa and Dafa practitioners is wrong and against the law. I heard that in the process of exposing the evil persecution, some fellow practitioners saw it as a human-to-human matter. In my opinion, practitioners’ exposing the evil is to suppress the persecution and save sentient beings, with the target of eliminating the evil dark minions and rotten demons in other dimensions. It is not the struggle among humans that we are to concern ourselves with.

The slanderous labels that the CCP has applied to Falun Gong have no legal basis. It is not against the law to mobilize people to withdraw from the Party, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers. And it doesn’t violate the stipulation in Article 9 of the "Chinese Communist Party Constitution," which allows the members to join or withdraw from the party freely. How could this be evidence for committing a crime? Persecuting practitioners for mobilizing the withdrawal from the party—isn’t this more proof that the CCP gains fame by deceiving and harming people? The CCP is exposing how evil it is all by itself. What is there for us to be afraid of?

During the Fa-rectification, we should completely negate the old forces’ arrangements, and the old forces, themselves, should not exist to begin with. In my humble opinion, on the path of cultivation practice, one can only negate the old forces by transcending the boundary delimited by the old forces, and only until then can the old forces cease to exist. We must purify ourselves better and clarify the truth to save sentient beings.
