(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners in Malaysia went to the Singapore’s High Commission on the morning of July 24, 2006, to deliver a petition letter calling for the Singapore government to drop the charges against eleven Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong practitioners held a banner reading "Heaven’s Elimination of the CCP Is Imminent, Do Not Follow the CCP in Persecuting Falun Gong" in front of the High Commission of Singapore to call for the Singapore government to drop the charges. The first secretary of the High Commission Brandon D’Cruz accepted the petition letter.

After delivering the letter, practitioners held a press conference. Spokesperson Zhang Xufeng said, "We seriously call on the Singapore government to withdraw all charges against Falun Gong practitioners. They (Falun Gong practitioners) are only urgently rescuing Chinese practitioners whose lives are at stake at any moment. We also call on the Singapore government to help stop the CCP’s atrocities of live organ harvesting, and help rescue persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China."

On July 4-6, 2006, when the head of the CCP 610 Office dedicated to the persecution of Falun Gong, Li Lanqing visited Singapore at the invitation of Lee Kuan Yee, a series of incidents occurred in Singapore, including banning Falun Gong practitioners’ truth clarification activities, and even bringing charges against practitioners twice in the month of July.

Nine Falun Gong practitioners in Singapore have been charged in court on July 14, 2006 for "assembly without permit" for the dissemination of truth-clarification materials about Falun Gong and fliers supporting five million Chinese people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations along Orchard Road and Orchard Underpass on October 22-23, 2005. The activities were peaceful, and there was neither conflict nor argument with the passersby or the police.

On July 20, 2006, three practitioners who were meditating opposite the Chinese Embassy with a banner that read, "Stop Persecution of Falun Gong in China" were taken to the police station and charged with "harassment by displaying insulting writings – with common intention." Actually, they only peacefully protested the CCP’s seven-year persecution in front of the Chinese Embassy.

In addition, on June 2, Nie Ge, a Falun Gong practitioner from China, who is residing in Singapore on a valid five-year long-term social visit pass and a valid work permit, was suddenly told that her visa and work permit were revoked. She was taken to the police station and detained for eight hours. On June 14, Ms. Yang, a Falun Gong practitioner of Chinese National origin, who had been living in Singapore since November 2002, was suddenly told to leave Singapore in three days. Repeated appeals to the Immigration and Checkpoint Authorities (ICA) on humanitarian grounds for Ms. Yang to stay here were rejected and she was compelled to depart Singapore without her son, who is still studying here.

All these incidents occurred around the visit of the head of the "610 Office," Li Lanqing. Falun Gong practitioners believed that the Singapore government bows to the CCP’s pressure to curry favor with the CCP and created persecution incidents.

Zhang Xufeng also expressed that at present, the whole world is focusing attention on the CCP atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. The Canadian independent investigation team released an investigative report early this month and confirmed that the hideous crimes are true. The media is also widely reporting on this. Therefore, Falun Gong practitioners called on the Singapore government not to walk the opposite way from righteousness. Practitioners also presented one copy of the investigative report and invitation to join the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" to the Singapore’s High Commission, in the hope that the Singapore government to make a righteous choice.
