Ms. Zhao Qunlan from Yueyang, Hunan Province, Is in Critical Condition Due to the Persecution


(Clearwisdom.net) The family of Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Qunlan was not allowed to visit her until 3:00 p.m. July 10, 2006. At the visit, Ms. Zhao was helped by two people, a man and a woman, as police looked on. Her face was so distorted that her family members could barely recognize her. Her whole body was trembling. She could not stand on her own. She could not talk and could not recognize her own family members. She had no feeling in any part of her body and one of her legs was dangling.

A policewoman said to Ms. Zhao's family members: "She is almost a goner. Hurry up, talk to the officials and get her out here."

Ms. Zhao Qunlan was strong and healthy before she was illegally arrested on the evening of May 12, 2006. Ms. Zhao, together with Ms. Leng Xuehui and Mr. Peng Xiaohui, all Falun Dafa practitioners, were abducted, tortured, and illegally sentenced by Jiang Renwu, Zhao Wenhua, Deng Hongqiu, Li Juemin, Chen Ailiang, Li Qiliang, Duan Deliang, Zhou Guoliang, from the Junshan District Police Station of Yueyang City, Hunan Province, the Public Security Department, the 610 Office, and the Political and Judiciary Committee.

Ms. Leng Xuehui and Ms. Zhao Qunlan are illegally detained at the Yueyang City First Detention Center. Mr. Peng Xiaohui is detained at the Huarong County Detention Center. Family members' visit requests have been continually rejected. Family members of Ms. Zhao Qunlan had asked many times to visit her and had to wait until July 10 before finally getting permission to do so. Since that visit however, Ms. Zhao has been persecuted so severely that she is now in critical condition.
