A Widow, 67, is Tortured by CCP Officials

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Lin is a 67-year-old widow who lives in a nursing home in Zhuozhou, Hebei Province. One night in May 2001, Wang Dongwei, secretary of Dongxianpo Township CCP Committee and Wang Rui, head of the Judicial Bureau, along with four other officials broke into Zhang Lin's residence and took 500 yuan in cash. Later in the evening, Zhang Lin was taken to Dongxianpo Township government. The officials handcuffed Zhang Lin to the heater radiator in the evening and forced her to spread her arms around a big tree in the daytime. They tortured her for two days.

Late at night on September 26, 2001, six lawless officials headed by Wang Dongwei and Wang Rui broke into Zhang Lin's room. They searched her body and her place and took 500 yuan in cash and also a purse containing 2,500 yuan. They took Zhang Lin to Daxiang and beat and kicked her. They tortured her for eighteen days and extorted more money before letting her go home.
