We Should Place High Importance on Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts Even If We Cannot Sense Their Power

(Clearwisdom.net) A fellow practitioner named "Little Z" could not sense anything when sending forth righteous thoughts. He couldn't see anything through his celestial eye. He continued to do it as a formality because sending righteous thoughts is one of the three things that a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple is supposed to do, but he had doubts in his mind whether his righteous thoughts were powerful enough.

"Little Z" had loopholes in his cultivation for a long time. Because of this and other causes within his cultivation group, the old forces found excuses to persecute him. Last Thursday "Little Z" started to feel sick everywhere in his body. A pain in his neck existed before he started cultivating. This time, he also felt a very bad headache. Since "Little Z" did not improve in time to strengthen his righteous thoughts, he felt uneasy when sitting or standing. He started to feel very feeble. At night his pain was very intense and he considered sending forth righteous thoughts. As a result, his head felt as if it were beaten and swollen. As he sent righteous thoughts, "Little Z" saw a little stick striking the parts of his body that hurt in another dimension. This drove away all the bad things and he started to feel better.

"Little Z" said that Master mentioned in "Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles (see Note 1) that practitioners should place high importance on sending forth righteous thoughts even if they are not sensitive to what they are doing. He regretfully realized this only when the power of righteous thoughts was shown to him. He felt his prior understanding of the Fa was too low.

"Little Z" hopes that this article can be posted on Clearwisdom.net so that other practitioners who had the same understanding can improve.

(The meaning and power of sending forth righteous thoughts is not as simple as what is mentioned in the above story. We hope that those practitioners who have the same understanding as "Little Z" will study the Fa more. If there is anything improper, please point it out with compassion. )

Note: The original words of Master "Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles" on February 25, 2006 are as follows:

"A lot of students don't place high importance on sending forth righteous thoughts, and a very big reason for this is that they are not sensitive [to what it is doing]. Whether you are sensitive or not, when Master tells you to do something you should do it, and it will for sure have its effect. It's definitely not just a formality! Master would absolutely not ask you to do something useless. (Applause) Were it just a formality, it would be meaningless for you, for me, for Fa-rectification and your validating the Fa, and for all beings. And moreover, [I have told you] to treat sending forth righteous thoughts as something highly important. You must take it seriously. Whether you can sense things or not, you need to do it with strong righteous thoughts. As time goes on I think all of you will come to sense things."
