(Clearwisdom.net) The Australian Government has raised concerns with Chinese Communist Party (CCP) about the harvest of vital organs from Falun Gong practitioners. The deputy secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, David Ritchie, formally questioned China's Assistant Foreign Minister about the allegations at a human rights meeting in Canberra held on July 24 and 25. Mr. Ritchie said Australia raised the concerns in Australia China human rights dialogue and is investigating the issue.

The two-day 10th Australia-China human rights dialogue, held behind closed doors, ended on July 25. In the following press conference, many mainstream media asked questions about China’s human rights issues, especially the live organ removal from Falun Gong practitioners exposed in Canadian independent investigation report.

Mr. Ritchie introduced the dialogue first and said that Australia has directly raised concerns with China on CCP’s live organ removal from Falun Gong practitioners.

Many mainstream media asked questions about Falun Gong and the Canadian independent investigation report. Asked whether the Australian Government will investigate the organ harvesting claimed in the report, Mr. Ritchie said that the Canadian report was very serious. He noticed that some media and public figures felt that the claims in the report were trustworthy. He said Australia cannot confirm or deny it at this moment. Australia is investigating the issue. If it is true, it is very worrying.
