Practitioner Gu Jingshan in Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province Dies after Prolonged Persecution

[Clearwisdom.net] Mr. Gu Jingshan, 63 years old, was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province. On April 18, 2004, he was arrested while posting up truth clarifying materials at Yishou Hill. The police went to his home afterwards and arrested his wife Liu Ronghua, and ransacked their home, taking all their materials.

Gu Jingshan was illegally imprisoned at the city detention center for five months, his body was seriously injured, and the symptoms of a stroke he had before reoccurred, severely limiting mobility in both of his legs.

On September 1, 2004, the Jianshan area court illegally held a trial for Gu Jingshan and sentenced him to three years in prison, and his spouse Liu Ronghua was sentenced to three years of custody outside of prison (this is after his family paid them 70,000 yuan). At the end of 2004, Gu Jingshan was sent to the Mudanjiang jail. Seeing that his condition was serious, the Mudanjiang jail refused to accept him, but only allowed him to stay for one night. During this time he was infected with scabies.

Under these circumstances and because of his family members' efforts, Gu Jingshan was released. At this time, the scabies spread over his whole body, oozing pus and dripping fluids, and the painful itching made him extremely uncomfortable when he scratched them. For this past year local police officers frequently went to his home to harass and threaten him. Due to the pressure, Gu Jingshan's health deteriorated and he died on February 25, 2006.
