Majia County, Taiwan: Native Taiwanese Express Support for Falun Gong at Traditional Harvest Ceremony (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 22, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from Pingtung went to Majia County. This is a county of Paiwan nationality, a native Taiwanese ethnic group. It was their traditional Harvest Ceremony, so many villagers came back to their hometown for the ceremony. Falun Gong practitioners visited four villages, including Chiayi, Paiwan, Beiye and Sanhe. Many villagers condemned the Chinese Communist Party's inhumanity and cruelty after hearing about the CCP's crimes of organ harvesting.

The Village Head of Sanhe, Mr. Peng, proposed to let Pastor Chung lead all villagers to pray for Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China. Later, during the break in the festival games, the village head translated to the villagers in their native language about how Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China were killed for their organs. The pastor led the villagers to pray again for an end of the persecution.

Falun Gong practitioners press hands together to thank the villagers for their support

In the end, the Falun Gong practitioners pressed their hands together to thank the villagers for their righteous support. The village head and the pastor also signed a petition supporting the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong.

The CCP's crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners was exposed in March 2006. The Falun Gong practitioners of China and overseas worked very hard to expose the CCP's seven year long persecution, calling on the international community to help end it.

On July 6, 2006, former Canadian MP David Kilgour and human rights lawyer David Matas released a report on their independent investigation into organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, which concluded that allegations of organ harvesting were true.

Falun Gong practitioners in the Pingtung Area believe this is an urgent issue to save these practitioners’ lives. For months, they have been traveling through towns and counties to clarify the truth to the local government officials. With their efforts, Pingtung County unanimously passed a resolution condemning the CCP's live organ harvesting and persecution of Falun Gong. They received righteous support from a County Mayor, 29 county councils, 10 Town or City Mayors, as well as many elected representatives and people.

The practitioners will continue their truth-clarification efforts in more cities and townships.
