Dafa practitioner Zhang Zhenxue illegally detained and persecuted repeatedly in 2000

Dafa practitioner Zhang Zhenxue went to Tiananmen Square, Beijing, to validate the Fa. He was illegally arrested and detained by Beijing police and then was put under house arrest for over 6 months by the local village leaders after he was sent back home.

On July 23, 2000, Mr. Zhang was taken away and detained for 40 days at the Shouguang City Police Station. He was beaten many times by the police.

On October 27, 2000, Zhang Zhenxue was illegally detained for 15 days, and then for another 30 when he was distributing truth clarifying materials after being released. In detention, the guards ordered criminal inmates to beat him.

One evening in December 2000, Zhang Zhenxue was arrested by Wang Donghai, the village secretary, along with several police officers. He was taken to the police station, and from there was sent to 3 years of forced labor at Changle Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Zhang was forced to work 14 hours a day and was shocked with electric batons by the police. He was also sent to brainwashing classes in Weifang City for 15 days in total. Shouguang City 610 Office official Li Tongzhong extorted 500 yuan from Zhang Zhenxue's family.

Dafa practitioner Wei Yuzhen subjected to brainwashing

On November 30, 1999, Dafa practitioner Wei Yuzhen went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong and was illegally detained for 5 days.

In May 2000, Mr. Wei was arrested and mercilessly beaten at the Shouguang Detention facility. Mr. Wei was detained and persecuted for 45 days, and his body became very weak. As a result, he became incapable of doing everyday routines, even of taking care of his daily needs. The people in the detention facility were afraid of being held responsible for Mr. Wei's condition, so they extorted 600 yuan from Wei's family before releasing him.

Since then, Wei Yuzhen has been arrested two more times. He was sent to a brainwashing center and forced to watch videos slandering Falun Dafa. Mr. Wei was unmoved by the slander, and the authorities weren't able to sway him into giving up Dafa practice. Since they could not "transform" him, they had to release him. However, after his release, Wei Yuzhen and his family have still been constantly being harassed.
