Calgary, Canada: Practitioners Introduce Falun Dafa and Clarify the Truth on Canada Day (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 1, 2006, Canada's 139^th birthday, a grand celebration activity was held in Prince's Island Park in downtown Calgary. Local Falun Gong practitioners applied for a stand. They took this opportunity to display the beauty of Falun Dafa to citizens, and tell them about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Practitioners introduce Falun Gong to the tourists

The sunshine was brilliant, and there was a steady flow of tourists. Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of the Falun Gong exercises. An elderly practitioner performed pieces on the Erhu, including "Falun Dafa is Good," "Coming For You" and other songs. Tourists one after another stopped to watch and take pictures. Many wanted to learn the exercises immediately. They said, "Your movements are so peaceful, and your music is so beautiful."

Many people viewed the display boards, and felt indignant at the persecution happening in China, particularly at the incidents of the CCP's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. How could the history of WWII be repeated in today's civilized society? Many people from Mainland China looked at over a dozen rows of display boards one by one, and smiled while taking newspaper and flyers from practitioners.

A gentleman from Chile and a lady from Peru learned about the persecution facts, and expressed their wishes to help Falun Gong practitioners. They said, "We have experienced similar massacre in South America. We cannot tolerate such gross violations of human rights. We will tell the persecution you have suffered to the communities in South America, and provide all possible help."

A gentleman from Poland read the flyer, and especially returned to practitioners and said, "The Communist Party is really too bad. The Communist Party in Poland has disintegrated, but it still exists in China. Western governments' economic assistance and trade with the Chinese government have actually nourished the evil, and provided it soil to grow. All governments in the world should say 'No' to the CCP!"

The display boards on the Nine Commentaries were surrounded by many people. A 76-year-old Chinese man told practitioners, "I fled to Hong Kong from the mainland during the Three-Anti and Five-Anti movements, and later came to Canada. I'd rather be a slave in Canada than return to the mainland. From the Cultural Revolution, June 4^th to the persecution of Falun Gong, (the CCP) has done so many evil deeds. So long as the CCP rules the country, there is no hope for China to change for better."

A young man passed by the display boards about the Nine Commentaries, and said to his companion, "I've read the Nine Commentaries, it is well-written. Beginning from the CCP's seizure of the power, it systematically analyzes the CCP's nature ..."

At 7:00p.m., there was still a steady flow of people in front of the display boards.
