Hong Kong: Practitioner Meets Former Chief Secretary for Administration During Grand Parade
By a practitioner of Hong Kong
(Clearswisdom.net) Hong Kong's former Chief Secretary for
Administration Anson Chan and her family participated in a grand parade on July
1st, 2006, and received warm welcome from Hong Kong people. I was on
the scene as a reporter. Many people waited on both sides of the road at the
entrance of Victoria Park to greet Madam Chan ( the general title that Hong Kong
people called Anson Chan) and shake hands with her. I was in the group of reporters. It was pretty crowded. Photographers focused
and shot without wasting a second when they saw her coming. I was very near to
her and greeted her with "Madam Chan." She turned to me and I said, "Thank you very much for lending a
conference auditorium to Falun Gong practitioners in 2001 for our experience
sharing conference." She knew that I am a Falun Gong practitioner, then
kindly said to me in front of the crowd of cameras, "Falun Gong is good.
Many people know Falun Gong, and many people support Falun Gong." I replied, "Yes, Thank you so much." Then she shook my hand. I
wanted very much to pass on some truth clarification materials to her, but I
checked my pockets. I didn't have a copy of the Nine Commentaries or
information about the organ harvesting. I couldn't find anything. Along with the crowd, I walked about 20 minutes, all of sudden I recalled
that I had a DVD disc of the NTD TV New Year Gala with me. It was originally for
somebody else, but thinking of the opportunity, I decided to present it to Madam
Chan, but I was blocked far away from her. After ten minutes of walking, I was
able to move close to her. I greeted her again and asked if she would accept a
DVD disc from me. She said yes with pleasure, then took the DVD and thanked me. On January 14, 2001, practitioners of Hong Kong held a Falun Dafa Experience
Sharing Conference in a government owned conference hall. The CCP (Chinese
Communist Party) put great pressure on the Hong Kong government as a result.
Afterwards we learned that it was Madam Chan who withstood the pressure and made
it possible for us to rent the government owned facility. She supported the
success of that Fa Conference. Five years passed, and I met Madam Chan in the
parade. I really hope that she can re-connect her predestined relationship with
Falun Dafa.
