(Clearwisdom.net) As a result of the Singapore authorities' prosecuting nine local practitioners on the charge of "illegal assembly" on July 14, Australian practitioners held a press conference in front of the Singapore Embassy to Australia on the afternoon of July 19, 2006. In addition, an array of incidents intending to deport Falun Gong practitioners and to ban practitioners' activities happened shortly before this. Apparently, the Singapore authorities are trying to curry favor with Li Lanqing and the CCP. Li Lanqing was the head of the "610 Office, which was established especially for the persecution of Falun Gong.
